I'm curious to know how much download speed I need to be competitive for online CS play. What megabyte speed do you play with?

I don't even reach 1 MBps download speed.
Well... I do have a 10 Mbps download connection, but I never go over 900 KBps.

I only accept playing with ping < 50 ms.
Most servers I play on ping from 20 to 40 ms. It's almost like playing on LAN. Barely any difference.

... My Internet was upgraded. :p Also, this is over a wireless signal with Steam, Outlook, TS, IRC, Pidgin, and FF (obviously) running.

I'm sure a direct connection would kick things up quite a bit.

My connection speed is very similar to Zips'. CS plays fine, with my rates properly set.
