Battlefield 4 Beta Patch Coming Out

Some are posting that the Battlefield 4 Beta is being patched. Some have restarted Origin to get the download process going.

So be sure to check and see if you can get the update. No details given yet on what changes are being done.

I just restarted Origin and it patched my BF4 beta. Had to agree on a new license agreement, and some MS runtime.

Some information in case someone needs it:

The new patch did NOT reset any controls.
All it did was change the BF4 user directory from "Battlefield 4" to "Battlefield 4 Beta".
Your settings are still there, you just need to move them to their new location.

So just move PROFSAVE_profile and PROFSAVE
from: C:\Users\YOUR-WINDOWS-USERNAME\Documents\Battlefield 4\settings
to: C:\Users\YOUR-WINDOWS-USERNAME\Documents\Battlefield 4 Beta\settings

You have to load the game once for the folder to be created. (thanks to /u/farskebear for telling me this)

No, someone posted up about the patch fixing something with Punkbuster.

I cant see how you need a patch to do that, so something had to change.

Also, when I installed it, it did some MS runtime things as well, that Signa mentioned.

So its doing something.

God forbid they release patch notes for this. This is absurd the amount of speculation going around about this. I've seen people saying their framerate is better while many others are saying it's worse. I've seen people saying their game works for them now and others saying it's crashing for them more.

I started getting smoother game play when I rolled back to the Nvidia 320.49 driver. The beta drivers that they recommended seem to make it worse.
