Oki-doki, now that I've given time for anyone who is actually going to buy and play MW3 at full price time to play the game, time for me to spoil your party. MW3 may have its moments, but it sucks. First mistake, you had a really good story going in the first part, Tom Clancy eat your heart out, second part captured that Micheal Bay experience, the third part threw parts 1 & 2 into a blender and made very bad tasting Margaritas. And your second mistake, as McCoy pointed out in the new Star Trek movie, you don't throw your star horse out of the spaceship in a life pod...you'll more then likely get the Earth sucked down a black hole and that is what happens when you fire the whole god damn staff of Infinity Ward and replace them with another team and say its a co-op with Sledgehammer. The stunts in this game were pointless, there was no upper moment and the missions were a mishmash of the prior games, not just MW, but other COD games and then some pointless missions with characters you couldn't get attached to, because you got this nagging feeling they were going to die in a pointless way. FUDGE, Treyarch's Black Ops had a better follow up story to the AWESOME game that was COD4, it felt like you had a point to what you where doing and the missions were original (even had a Bond vibe at some points). And where Black Ops went back to dedicated servers, had a console and FOV settings that made the game a pleasure to play, they went back to the multiplayer system of one of the most hated PC games of all time (in terms of peer to peer frustration). I admit, p2p works on consoles, but it does not work for PC, at least in servers we were able to kick the hackers, now we have to wait for VAC and what ever Sledgehammer threw in there to catch them catches up. This is the last MW I am buying at full price, I don't even think I am going to support the DLC, I am however looking forward to Black Ops 2 by Treyarch. Thank you for ruining the game I was looking forward to all year, do not even get me started on Elite, the service it could of been and the offering of discount on the DLC bundle that was denied to PC players. Call of Duty Modern Warfare, as a franchise, is over with the departure of Infinity Ward, Treyarch is still here and kicking and thus far have only made one Call of Duty I enjoyed, Black Ops. Lets see what the future holds, until then I still have Black Ops and Battlefield 3.

Truly well said there Ranger. I cant say i bought the game but i wont say i was not happy doing that, i was, to pay 40 pounds for a game like this would be costly to me hence the (i)legal.

Anyways i felt the game to be lacking and i mean lacking! I absolutely felt the departure of Infinity Ward throughout playing the single player. Moments were dull, levels were dull, characters were extremely boring and i was like " when will captain price die this guy's too old to be fighting' lmfao i think they milked him way too much as a protagonist, when soap died i felt nothing. The only type i truly like playing the character of Soap is when we heard the lines "What the hell kind of name is Soap anyways?" (Call of Duty 4) and "Who the hell is Soap?" (CoD: Modern Warfare 2) in mw3 i feel they raped the characters made them feel dull they took the art away from the artist and gave it to the dull guy that is sledgehammer.

I really wanted my six hour dose of Michael Bay action only to be left really upset. I am sorry if this offends anyone but i liked IW, and it is in my sincere hopes that Infinity Ward open up their own studio away from the likes of Activision.

In closing to the Single player it was bad rushed and probably not a spoiler the end to the modern warfare series, i mean how much more can they continue the story further!

In terms of multiplayer the game is just downright bad, if it had any of the goodies from Black Ops it would be ok but plagued by its awful awful maps. here is a paraphrase from my console cod loving friend, he never looks forward to any map, he feels bad, does not like the game. So for now the game wont be in my cross hairs i will buy it like when i bought Brink, right now from Steam for 4.75 pounds.

Concluding, i love treyarch no matter what any person says. I see a lot of treyarch bashing by modern warfare noobs. I loved black ops, the fact that it was a different era story, server browser, dedi servers, a slightly higher player count, and nuketown. So i feel the same way Ranger, definitely looking forward to Black Ops 2!!!

COD3 was bad, sorry and I just couldn't for the live of me get into World at War, but Black Ops finally felt like a worthy addition to the COD series, Treyarch finally stepping up (sad now that I think about it as a passing of the torch from IW). I know I'm going to take some flack for this, but I was a IW die hard and Treyarch and IW stories do feel drastically different (except for Black Ops). I hope that IW's new studio succeeds and that their law sued against Activisions hurst them (but not before Black Ops 2).

As for Soap's death (sorry, this was intended to be spoiler free), it felt like a ripe kick in the balls. Even if Soap was intended to die this game, I was hoping for some meaning in it (how did Makarov find out that they would be in that bloody clock tower?!?). And why was Frost excluded from the final mission, just to have a stooge survive for the next milking of the franchise.

Sounds like the metacritic scores by the users are accurate then.

It was very obvious that Sledgehammer was running the show. 402 did a 180 and was kept quiet for the most part. Almost no news until release and a hush-hush tone to keep things under wrap.

Spoiler free! i am sorry man wasnt paying attention thanks to my A.D.D. :s

Anyways i did not mean cod 3, that was awful. CoD5 in terms of story was old because we had already seen a dozen WW2 games :s but MP was superb server browser, also tanks lol i just liked taking them out :P

but Black Ops truly shined for me, MP was excellent, i was expecting MW2 style glad i was wrong.

I can't even say the base of the game was well made, I don't know how many times I was killed by being dropped off by the Black-hawk dropping me off or got a failed mission because I caught the guy I was suppose to catch or because I was standing slightly in front and off to the side of the person I was suppose to escort or better yet, the game crashes out because I was on the street. Truly frustrating on many levels, I think metacritic, despite being filled with haters was pretty accurate.

I don't want to say I told you so, but...:P

Your comments basically reiterate all the reviews I have been reading from PC players. Apparently console gamers seem to like it, but their mental deficiencies are a different subject. Half the kids at my school have MW3 bumper stickers on their cars.

I was going to be bought this for Christmas but I don't even think its worth it. Not with AC and Batman.

                  Write this down:

Within a year, Bowling is out.

If he wasn't gone after the whole MW2 dedicated server crap, nor did he leave after most of IW's core team left, what makes you think he'd either quit or be fired in a year's time?

The way he has been treated in interviews and skits like this as well as his radical change in demeanor on his twitter account.

Ive seen things like this happen during layoffs, people change a lot and try to lay low under the radar and he is acting like that.

Its just a hunch. I have nothing else to go on other than how he has been acting and some of my own experiences. He could be around another 30 years and retire from Activision.

I honestly haven't seen any change at all in him. He still comes off with the same arrogant yet positive type attitude that he's had for years now.

Really? Going by his tweets they went from F**** THIS AND THIS IS AWESOME AND SO WHAT THAT AND THIS IS S*** to Yes sir, you will see that, No that is an awesome tool. No sir, they make a good product, but not as nice as ours.

Then during the "marketing" of MW3, he went silent. The IW twitter didnt say a word for the longest time and he just posted up a few things here and there. Those two clowns from Sledgehammer came in and did the majority of interviews and did their tweets. There was a big shift on where to get your news, what little there was, for MW3. 402 did most interviews alone and whenever he was with the other two, he generally did little talking or when he did take the lead, was then made to look bad, but most the time he was by himself interviewing while sledgehammer was on the other side doing their thing.

Then this interview, look when he gets up there. Not smiling and #3 on the list of names. I dont know. Maybe Im reading too much into it, but it just seems like he is trying to fit in and isnt.

I just think its a matter of time before the term IW is gone and incorporated into Sledgehammer or it becames Sledgehammer/IW studios and you dont need three creative strategists. I know the other two are founders of Sledgehammer, but its obvious they like the limelight and doing all that stuff. If they were smart, they would go back to running Sledgehammer and make 402 CS for the whole show, but I dont think they are.

Again, could be wrong. Could be reading way too much into it. It just doesnt seem like everything is in order.

Seeing 402 go would make me feel a lot better, 2 years of having to hear him talk was frustrating enough. The Bash podcast where he announced p2p for PC made him the single most hated man on the PC platform.

Yeah, but those were his marching orders. I dont begrudge him for that. Those programmers during the BestBuy Q&A were making fun of the situation. THOSE people I hold responsible. 402 was just the messanger.

I do begrudge him the rest of his attitude and poor way of handling himself. It doesnt matter though as I am no longer a customer and they tend to cater toward their biggest fans, the console crowd.
