  • Zero Punctuation on BF3

I am disapoint. It was like I thought it would be, but less and not near as funny. He complained more about the box art than the game and then said how CoD and BF go for realism. Since when? Toward the end I think I understood he meant realism in the story as in it could happen, but this video felt more rushed than BF3.

Yeah, just came off watching it. He had some valid points (about the SP) but This did feel a bit off the mark humour wise. Maybe I'm subconciously butthurt? But then again while he had little praise he wasn't overly negative.

I dont think its butthurt. I was looking forward to the bashing and it was just blah. I guess when all the FPS games have the same issues, what more can you say?

It's not that bad. I think he complains more about the box art than anything else.

All Bf3's bad reviews and flaws are due to the singleplayer. if they didn't have a singleplayer people would be complaining about how it doesn't have a singleplayer. i don't give a fuck about it, I'd rather them NOT do a singleplayer and have them do more 5 multiplayer maps than a singleplayer most people don't like... I'm not a SP type of person but i enjoyed it, not as much as i would a few more mp maps but who freaking cares, every game has flaws and no game is perfect, but that doesn't mean that you should only focus on those little flaws and tell how bad a game is because of them. That's like buying a chocolate cake with a cherry, and just because you don't like cherries that doesn't mean the chocolate cake fucking sucks, no one buys a chocolate cake just for the cherry on the top, and no one forced you to eat it, so remove it and just eat the fucking cake

But what if the cake was really small, because the baker had spent half the cakebudget growing his own cherries?

Man, what great analogies using cake We need to make sure this thread is only discussed in cake references to the review and BF3.

                    Hmmmm... Caaake... Moist and delicious...

I don't know, given his established schtick of ragging on the bad parts of games in entertaining ways, not really mentioning MP is a backhanded compliment of sorts. When he does dwell on the good parts of games, it's because they so awesomely blew him away, it made him forget the bad parts. I'm also curious what platform he played it on.

He was spot on in the opening, look it's shooter season 2011!

Plus it's not like he can take his sweet time and get these done when he wants. He's a writer with deadlines and sometimes you get writers block.

Buying BF3 for singleplayer is like hiring an escort for house cleaning.

Yahtzee is a singleplayer critique, and no one buys BF3 or MW3 just singleplayer.

The problem is box art. Imagine you are buying a cake from your local family bakery and some guy from the Blue Man Group runs in on fire and tramples over your cake. That's what the box art is like.

                            LOL, yeah. Thats great.

Its also true that SP is more like a series of cupcakes and some of those cupcakes have the red frosting on them, wherease MP is the full cheese cake.
