My guess would be by participating in the Alpha and the Beta. Kinda like the Veteran status related to the number of registered BF-games.

The Gun Club reward system doesn't really work, I don't have half of what I should have. I also participated in the alpha and beta of BF3 and don't have those insignias.

Yeah I got them, with the award "be part of the Gun Club". Okay... I was in the club since the release of MOH but oh well.
