I'm also really looking forward to the M39 EBR. I've always been more of a medium-long range accurate shot kind of guy. I loved the BAUR in single shot on BF2142, the M14 and M1 Garands in BC2, and the M16A2 in single shot on BF2. The less shot to kill a target the better.
Canister shells are shotgun rounds for tank cannons, its a vehicle upgrade in BF3.
But imagine carrying around a 120mm shotgun, even if it was single shot!
I'd enjoy that a lot. I like being able to customize my vehicles as opposed to having a definite load out for everybody. In BF2 I would have loved to have more bombs in my F35B than missiles. IIRC it was 6 sidewinders to 2 bombs. I would have preferred 6 bombs to 2 missiles.
that canister shell, i think they also have that on the Stuart tank on company of heroes, great infantry stopper :P, i would like for an modern M1Garand, i enjoyed the M1 in BC2 Vietnam so much
What do you mean by a modern M1 Garand? Are you talking about an M1 Garand with a synthetic stock?
I'm not a big fan of wood on weapons, but the M1 is one of those rifles that has an absolutely beautiful shape. I plan on buying an M1 Garand, but I'm never going to get a tactical one. I'm not sure if I want a synthetic stock or a wood stock.
i know they are not the same thing, i just thought the m14 was some sort of new version of the "M", like an evolution. just like there's the ak47 and then the ak101
Yeah, the M14 was designed to replace the M1 Garand and was based on it, but it wasn't a direct evolution and is actually a separate rifle designed by someone else.
They pretty much use the exact same stock and receiver.
I prefer the M1 Garand, although the 8 round magazine is it's only con in my opinion. Great sights, great weight, amazing accuracy, quick reloading (although Garand-thumb is a danger), etc.
M14 is longer, and in my opinion makes it more front heavy and difficult to stop on target when switching targets rapidly. Recoil is lower though, but so is damage.
God I love the M1. Whatever person said it was the best battle implement ever devised for it's time was spot on. (I'm biased)
