    Little old lady needs some games

    OK, so here is the deal;

    I have this 70 year old lady that wants some games to play on her computer. Its a very simple computer for some basic things. No internet.

    So being that I am not a 70 year old who plays simple games, my list of options are very limited to me on what to get. So I am hoping I could get a few choice free, or low cost, games to add to this PC. Games like Bejeweled and spades. Who knows, maybe even centipede would be fine, IDK.

    So any ideas? Anyone played some fun little games that they could try out? Even think about phone games and maybe they are made for PC as well.

    I don't know how GoG works but they might be worth looking into: http://www.gog.com/en/catalogue

    They're DRM-free games. Once you download it, they're yours to keep and requires no net connection. The only problem is, I don't know how their download system works. If they let you download the game installer in full, you can just toss that sucker on a thumb drive and install the games on her machine. If it requires an install of a program that will then download the files for you (ala: Steam) then yeah, won't work.

    Our games are sprinkled with a whirlwind of smile-inducing awesomeness and polished to a shiny sheen that keeps the world coming back again and again. And best of all, you’ll find our games on mobile, console, PC, and many other devices – you may even be able to play them on the moon!

    I know these are download only but you can probably find a bunch of these in the software area of say, Wal-Mart. I used to see them all the time, typically in the smaller CD cases off to the side of the big retail releases.

      hmmm Angry Birds?

      And yeah, what Zips said, there's tons of games that would be great for your situation in WalMart/Target/Kmart.
