First time ever I'm near 1.0 KDR even tough Crunch helped lower it to .859 last night. Back to .950 today Highest ever and it looks like iy will improve even further when th egame gets optimized.

I tried to gain more fps by modifying the setting file, it crashed the game and now even on low I have a tons of effect I didn't had first (motion blur etc) and it's laggy, wth?

Are you beeing sarcastic? Because when shotgun shells and explosions do not only cause damage as they also cause a "stun effect" which is to drop your frames to like 5-10 it's hard to stay alive

I was not being sarcastic. It's extremely difficult to perform at a high level when your FPS is low. When the game runs smoothly you can do insane things that are impossible with a low FPS. If my FPS goes below 30, my performance drops with it.

FPS and lag has everything to do with performance. Even playing NCAA or Madden on my sexbox if I get any lag online and I get stuck mid play on a deep route and the guy I'm playing isn't lagging, GAMEOVER. So annoying.

I try to never play on a ping over 100. You really have a huge disadvantage in an FPS when your ping starts getting above ~70.

Is that even possible in bfbc? i mean, normally the server browser tells me that the server ping is around 40 but once i enter its around 100-200 xD

The ping displayed in the game is different. The ping in the browser and in every other game measures time it takes for the packet to be sent and received to the server. The in-game one in BFBC2 takes that time, and then adds how long it takes for the server to process it. This is only useful for server admins wanting to see if their server is lagging. You know how you can sometimes have a low ping but the server is still laggy? The BC2 in-game ping will show this.

I don't know much about BC2's ping other than I could player on higher pings than most games. In Call of Duty I am extremely aggressive and I need every bit of a lower ping I can get. Call of Duty to me is a big momentum based game. I just run from point A to point B killing whatever I can, and if I make it to B I go back to A, rinse and repeat. In BC2 I was running from cover to cover; kill a few guys, run to the next cover, kill a few guys till it's safe to move, etc.

Anarchy is correct on how the ping works in BC2. Ping itself is a very small piece to tell if you are going to have a good connection or not and is not reliable to having a great game because of low ping. Examples of this are servers that need a reboot as well as players that have much higher pings than you.
