Most of my friends also have consoles. They all want me to get one as well, but I doubt I ever will, and I hope I never will. My computer gaming experience has always been more fun than my console gaming experiences.
And I can reply the exact opposite. Outside of FPS and combat flight simulators; my favorite games and most memorable experiences come from console games. Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, God of War, Castlevania Lords of Shadow, Dead Rising, Def Jam Vendetta, ICO, Tomb Raider, Wipeout, Twisted Metal, Vigilante 8, Gran Turismo (whole series) Ace Combat, Ghouls n Ghosts, Street Fighter (arcade, but mostly ports to console over the years, SFA3 is still ebast in PSone) Contra, the unholy trilogy of games by the same team: Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and Timesplitters <- We need game slike those on mouse and keyboard, still the only FPS series where melee is fun but not one shot and requires skill; and basically the inventors of alternate firing with a second button, and perfected the bouncing grenade launcher.

Now, I am against the bro gamer tough. The ones that think FPS started and ended with Halo. The ones that think the xbox360 controller is the pinnacle of playability. The ones who swallow DLC without thinking. And they are present on every console too: Nintendrones, Xbots and PStools, they are a bane to gaming. I think those are the ones you are thinking when you think "console gaming sucks".

They are worse than PC elitists even.

LOL, you guys crack me up. I dont know if anyone here really even cares who plays on console or what.

I would LIKE for you all to play on PC, but thats just because I would like the chance to get your.. I mean, to play with friends.

And Batman AA was easy to play on PC. It was a great game! (On sale now on Steam)

Easy to play, yes. Capable of pulling some 100+ combo chains on keyboard and mouse? Straining on the hand, easily solvable by.... using a console pad.

Me? Man I don't care where you game on, but pisses me off when all I read everywhere is this constant trashing of consoles.

Wanna hear a story? Before consoles had hard drives, console games had to be almost perfect the first time around. Bugs were minimal and most were true, honest to god ugly glitches. PC games have always had more shoddy programming because well... something doesn't work? Patch it. Need an update? Patch it.

It has advantages, true. Some of the honest to god ugly bugs can be swatted after the fact. But it also leads to rushed products to meet deadline.

I just enjoy what I am given; regardless of platform. (well, honestly I don't like the xbox since it's a BAD product, not because it is a console).

Yeah, getting those huge combos were hard :/

It was still a great game though for PC

Bad Company 2 for the Xbox wasn't that bad, the controller is really comfortable ... the Dualshock, that i can't stand, Sony needs to release a new type of controller for the next gen PlayStation.

I've always said consoles can handle any type of genre except RTS.

              I stopped reading there.

I only play FPS games, flight simulators, and Civilization V. When I want to be physically present with my friends, which is the only appealing thing about console gaming to me, since you have a lot of fun joking around and it's just an enjoyable experience to play with friends, I then go to a gaming center nearby and we play CoD4 and whatnot together at that PC gaming center.

(There isn't; stop trying, just accept one paltform can offer one thing, and the other can offer other genres, and that you can game on both)
How about the original Tomb Raider? That was my first 3D accelerated game, I think I had a 3D Blaster PCI then.

given the power available at TR launch, it was still better on the playstation, a couple of years later tough, it was better on PC. A pain to control with keyboard tough, gamepads weren't really available for PC with the 16 buttons required to map a playstation controller. Things started to pick up on PC around the time the original Geforce 4400ti launched, and for ATi after the Radeon 7800.

Now, the original Tomb Raider is one of those games that lends itself to PC port. Medal of Honor started as a console series.
