This is from slickdeals.net and people on a number of different forums have tried it out and confirmed that it does work.

I am already in the Gun Club and I just now registered for the newsletter so I will report back if it works for existing people.

UPDATE1: It does work for existing members who sign up for the newsletter.

One thing about this is that the game would be a digital download and played through Origin.

UPDATE2: I do not know the country limitations. You will have to try it and see.

:O so how much it is? I got my copy for $45 a month or two ago :P They gave me a coupon when I closed the browser window and that convinced me to buy it then.

EDIT: oh so it's same price then? Well that should do it for a ton of people; limited edition for $45.00, preorders already ten times those of BC2... maybe they will sell more than MW3. I don't see Acti reducing their preorder price on digital copies.

Yeah, I havent received anything on my existing account.

Testing a new account and will see what happens.

Maybe they stopped it or the timeframe expired. Some very reliable people have reported that it worked for them, so I know this isnt a fake.

OK, an update on this:

With my exisiting EA Gun Club Account, I have just now received the 25% promo code and USED it on BF3 Pre-order. It worked correctly and I did receive the discount.

It was about 28 hours before I received the promo-code.

The promo code is good for any EA shooter game for 5 days.

And I did not have any option for physical or digital copies of BF3. Rumor has it that you can chose, but I did not see any choice.

So, this does work and you guys that tried it, should be getting an email.

Yes, it is the limited edition. Its the only version that I saw that you can pre-order on Origin.
