As a BF fan I obviously want the old capture the point and ticket count game play but also wouldn't mind a team deathmatch just to kind of switch things up from time to time. I don't want it to be like CoD and have 12 different game types to choose from but I think the original BF game type and a deathmatch would be good and maybe a hardcore mode for each one. What do you guys think about game types online?

Re: Online Game Types?
I wouldnt be opposed to something like Assault Line. I know it was for 2142 and 2142 was the worst thing ever created even below MW2, but Assault line was fun. You had 4 flags to capture, but the 4th flag was locked. The attackers had to capture all three flags and then the 4th would become unlocked and then could be captured. If it was captured, attackers won. If tickets ran out, defenders won.
It was pretty fun and caused some intense battles. I wouldnt mind a few different game styles.

More objectives than blowing mcoms, like escort/assassination/defend a flag for x minutes/etc.
Push maps (can only cap flags in a certain order).Comment

Re: Online Game Types?
If I had the chance to suggest a game mode that would actually make it into the game I would say 2 different things. Of course though, more game modes mean more community being split.
1. A sort of tug of war with capture points like in Team Fortress 2 where you have to capture points in succession while defending the previous one you just captured and any other flags become uncap zones until the previous flag has been captured. Once all the flags are captured by one team, they win could win by either taking all spawn points from the enemy or bleeding their tickets depending on whether both teams start with an always uncapturable base.
2. Random supply drops around the map or something similar that you have to capture before the other team to gain "supply points" for your team that would add up to win the round and an after action movie would play showing your team pushing back the enemy forces after being resupplied.Comment

Re: Online Game Types?
Yeah, the only way people capped was bailing out of a plane at the flag, picking it up, and holding E to be picked up by a plane with two seats flying close to you. Then people would drive a jeep towards you and bail out hoping you jumped in, then blow you up. :laugh:Originally posted by RamboCTF was fun in 1942/DcComment

Re: Online Game Types?
Onslaught or Assault from UT2k4...
Assault is basically like Rush, only instead of the same objective over and over on every map, it varies.
Onslaught had connected nodes that had to be secured much like Conquest, but they had to be linked.Comment
