thinking about this, its sad to see DICE did not patch the game correctly. There is about 350 players still playing 1.50 and many other who have trouble installing the patch or getting it to work. I think the only thing that will extend the community is the steam release.

i don't think DICE knows how to get around the version mismatch. i experienced it too and the only way was to clean the system of the registry and reapply the patch.

ps i dont know what is going on with my teamwork score and only that... i think is bugged ,is huge,it wasnt like this 1 year ago when io stopped playing for sure,my freinds have like 200k and i was like them more or less i dont really remember... but im not the only one many players have huge score,maybe bug.. anw leaderboard is not working,im back like one month playing almost every day and im still 0 on leadrboard but my stats when i compare with other player is updating... bah

Hopefully it comes to steam for something like 9.99 or 5.99. Then the game will get a real nice boost in players.

i'll be playing more again. unfortunately, the availability of good servers has declined in huge numbers.
