Haha, I'm guilty of doing this, but if I'm in a squad of competent players, I stick with that squad, or if I'm playing with friends.

Was it BF2 or 2142 where you could kick squad members out of the squad? Or am I dreaming that?

Duno but i rem BFV vote kick worked pretty well lol, we always kicked the spawn campers as it was seen as bad form before the stats system was made.

im hoping "battalion "feature/rumour(rumor for you yanks) will be true.

Alright, and how often do people do this? Very rarely.

BF2's squad system promoted squadplay without all that extra work.

No it didnt. I already mentioned in some post how I had to join a clan to get teamplay. Others have mentioned that as well.

I agree that the tools where there to make teamplay possible, but the people wouldnt use them. The tools will be in BF3 as well, but its going to be the same as in BF2,2142,BC2.

I know the squad leader could kick others out in BF2. I can't remember 2142 though.

Extra work? All you have to do is 1) download ventrilo. 2) get a mic (most PC gamers have these things already) 3) Ask "Can I join ur clanz?" (pick one with a bunch of people who are good and know what they're doing for extra fun) 4) They say yes obviously, because you are a god at BF. 5) The quality of your gameplay experience is increased x100.

Its much more fun to work with some of your buddies, and clanmates that you talk to all the time compared to a bunch of rando's on a public server.

Yep, because all pubbers did this in BF2.

                          Re: Squads

I had no problem finding a decent squad in BF2/2142, unless the whole team suxxor you still have room in one/two good squads. If it's not the case then I check if there a place in the other team, if not I choose another server.

Kylee never said that's what most people do. He said that was the way that a single person could avoid the negative aspects of playing on a pub server, i.e. by playing with a clan/on their vent.

Spik3d was being his usually contrarian self and missed the point, again, with his sarcasm.
