definitely want the old knife back from BF2/2142 etc the BC2 system is simply ****ing horrible

a non lethal melee (unless you really beat em) though might be interesting

No, but serious, look at ALL the BF boxes. None work with each other. Actually the guy in the BF3 box looks like the guy on the BF2, but is glowing on the side.

If the multiplayerr is good having SP is only a plus...maybe the internet goes out and now you can still play BF3, or better yet, learn to fly before jumping into a game and getting heckled by everyone for crashing.

Im thinking regarding the whole "Lets make the games in between BF2 and BF3 crippled versions of the original concept" was maybe a ploy to get some practice in regarding ground combat, because, lets face it, many people found the infantry combat rather crappy despite the large amount of I/O karkand servers post-2007. Though im not sure. So I have no risk of being flamed (because I am that much of a *****), what do you guys think of BC2 infantry wise compared to BF2?

BC2 infantry wise was worlds better than BF2 infantry, although I HATE THE DAMN MOH SYSTEM WHERE YOU'RE CONSTANTLY getting killed by someone you killed...

Confirmed by multiple Devs: BF3 story will have nothing to do with BC2's story and where it left off. BF3 is its own game.

Ok i was going to make a thread about this..

Bc2 would be just as good but it lacks prone, also in BC2 im always getting caught on some rocks or a twig something and my character goes spaz. You can sprint up anything 33 degrees but hit 33.1 and its like you hit a wall!.

Previously bfs were never like this(they were smooth) and its really starting to poop me in BC2.

Ive been thinking about that too. How are they going to let the average consumer know the difference between BF3 and BFBC3.

Well they cant really do that without pulling a D**kmove on the consumers by calling bad company 3 but it having a storyline that does not tie in.

Actually I don't care about the story because for it to be good they need to devote a lot of ressources, I just hope there's a real emphasis on coop and a sandbox gameplay with some objectives here and there (a little like Operation Flashpoint missions for ex), and not a BC2 like campaign with corridor maps.

yeah, i dont care about the sp at all i care about a great, expetacular, amazing long life lasting multiplayer experience like bf2, but mutch better

This. That's the one thing that bothers me. Getting stuck on a stupid little rock, or the side of a stairs, which isn't any higher than the actual stairs, is so frustrating sometimes.
