And these songs.....where is fortunate son i keep hearing on every single trailer? wheres ride of the Valkyries? wheres all the original tunes from BFV? it sounds like they went to kmart bargain bin and picked out all of the royalty free music for this game, it's almost all absolute crap, i would rather have 5 good songs than 90 garbage ones.

Some majorly FUBARED weapons damage for sure, the Huey's rockets kill anything near them where they hit in conquest, you can nail a single man with 5 rockets in rush and do nothing to him, there's some major weapons damage inconsistencies between modes. And the M-40? WTF were they thinking? did they want to encourage more worthless camping snipers? The thing is a friggen laser beam, one shot kill every time......boom headshot....booom headshot......boom headshot!!!!

I think I've had just about all of the postage stamp sized total choke point COD clusterf*ck wanna be maps I can take. why even do all that hyping about the Huey's with every single trailer? they are in one map and are an absolute cake walk to shoot out of the sky with a tank, they are almost worthless and for christ sakes, if you intend to make it so engies cant repair a chopper mid flight then dont do it half assed to where it only takes 15 minutes to discover the glitch that allows them to repair midlfiight.

ok, rant over, I know, it's $15, these are just a few giant looming issues i came across, i mean i did only pay 50 cents for this and the specacts kit after bitching at EA about where the hell BF1943 was, i think they just gave me the $20 coupon to save face so I'm not gonna look a gift horse in the mouth but once again i feel like what DICE advertised is a totally different product than what they delivered.

              Re: Vietnam

I pretty much agree with most of what Power pointed out. For $15 bucks it's good to keep you BF appetite filled for a while, but long run it is lacking in some areas.

              Hit reg is surprisingly good.

Map design is good but due to the BFBC2 sizes the choke points are really becoming apparent.

Rush really requires teamwork...however VOIP issues still prevent this from happening.

Lack of tactical smoke kind of pisses me off. I mean we have a nade launcher for assault. How hard is it to add smoke rounds? I mean the choke points on some of these maps could be averted with some well placed smoke.

Huey isn't really overpowered. The hit reg just makes gunning actually worthwhile since what you aim at actually is what you hit. Rockets are good but not always a sure hit on targets for the pilot. Tankers are already getting good at ranging and hitting in air helo's, not to mention that people are actually using the mounted vehicle guns to whittle down the helo's health. If you know how to lead the target you can pretty much pepper the Huey's from across the map due to the map size.

Personally i'll say Fu Bai Valley is the best map. And i'm biased because i am addicted to flying the Huey. However, i still feel that if the map were twice as big with a few more helo's, tanks, and some pbr's that it would really bring a BF2 style feel to a good map.

Anyone else dislike the RPG skin they used? The sight just seems to block more from view than actually helping to line up a shot.
"We're all very different people. We're not Watusi. We're not Spartans. We're Americans, with a capital 'A', huh? You know what that means? Do ya? That means that our forefathers were kicked out of every decent country in the world. We are the wretched refuse. We're the underdog. We're mutts! Here's proof: his nose is cold! But there's no animal that's more faithful, that's more loyal, more loveable than the mutt." -John Winger (Bill Murray) Stripes

Yeah, certain maps just becomes a death grind because of choke points.

I fear the nerf monster is gonna screw everything up by the way the whiners on the UK forums are ranting about how the weapon damage is way too much and I agree 100 with our Capt Crunch that this is a really bad thing to start especially after one day of play to start this nerfing policy. People need to play it for awhile and let them get the servers optimized and then maybe start discussing balance after we all have had some experience with it.

I didnt say i dont like it, I said for $15 it's kinda hard not to like it, I mean you get what you pay and it cost me 50 cents so for 50 cents I absolutely love it. :salute: I may have gotten a bit carried away with that rant.

I just feel from the trailers, the media releases, and the developer chats that this isn't really what they were advertising, I don't see the songs mentioned in the dev chats or feature list and i certainly don't get the epic Huey goodness they were trying to sell with the trailers, you don't even have room to fly in circles without being out of bounds, the map sizes are just much smaller than one would expect for the BFV nostalgia they were trying to drum up, I'd almost say they are too small for the 32 player count and some are just very poorly designed encouraging all out spawn camping witch enviably empties the server. I almost had a feeling that the couple of new larger maps added to vanilla in the last patch were meant to wet our appetite for larger maps in Vietnam but it just didn't happen.

That being said I played some Fu Bai Valley on hardcore mode and it feels like an absolutely different game, I think hardcore mode will be the key to strategic play for this expansion.

Perhaps operation Hastings will surprise us all and end up being the largest and best map in the pack, I mean they show multiple Huey's in the trailer for it as well as 4 pbr's and multiple pieces of armor, but to remake a beloved BFV map like that and cripple it with a postage stamp sized would be almost blasphemous, hastings had allot of stuff going on at once but I get the feeling we will only be seeing one small corner of the original map or an extremely condensed version with BFBC2 Vietnam.

As for your question Kylee, yes it does seem a bit CS with all the spawnkilling and raping going on...Its rather a bit quick for a battlefield game..We all knew this in BC and accepted it but now its BCV, i just hope it wont be like this for bf3:salute:

Oop. That just lost you any credibility I had given you you.

and Rambo, I enjoy BC2, but BC2:V doesn't remind me of that. Rush reminds me EXACTLY of MoH.

Allot of people have been expressing they feel it plays smoother, i do see it but the engine still struggles under heavy close quarters combat and you end up having allot of people with their graphical settings much too high for their machines and they become easy prey when the smoke and debris are flying and they are getting under 10fps.

*FMJ*Power, maps are designed for 24 players which is the max on consoles and they made Vietnam before they decided to add big maps like Heavy Metal. Vietnam is the continuity of BC2, you shouldn't expect big maps in the first place, unfortunately.

As for the weapons I hope they don't nerf them, it's good that way.

Well I already see a pattern coming for weapons.

AK47, RPK, M16, Ppsh, M40, M60, XM22, and flamethrower are the most used.

The least used, SVD, M21, M20.

SVD and M21 scope zoom speed is too slow, it's semiauto, I need to zoom immediately to pop three shots.

M20 has quite a kick and it is not so easy as the ak47 or M16.

Yup they need to buff the svd/m21, the damage is the same as BC2 while others weapons do more damage.
