Yeah, it's a really bad BF2. Perhaps BF2 in pre-alpha.

Even though I have my resolution set as 1920 x 1200 and high settings, the game still looks to be 800 x 600 and low settings. The gameplay is extremely sluggish. No prone. My player constantly says "I need a medic" even right after I spawn.

Then there are the UI problems. You can't open a menu in-game. You have to exit. If you change the menu to full screen mode, there is no cursor. I could go on.

It's just terrible. Even for a free game in beta.

Wow have you never heard of a beta before? Also the graphics are not on par with retail games like BC2 simply because they want people with low end computers to be able to play the game which in turn brings about a higher player base which in turn brings more revenue for them. Have you read that prone was ruled out? I haven't so they could still put it in the game. Why do people base their reviews of game based on a beta? Happens every time.

its just not the beta quality stuff, i mean its true many people judje the game by the beta,but the problem are the features and the way the game is working, its too "cheap"

Hell I was expecting a totally finished great game, hard to believe it's not. Thanks so much for letting us here on the forum know that we shouldn't waste our time and even participate in this beta. It couldn't possible turn out to be any fun even when it gets released or after that with updates. They should take these totally untalented people working on this huge pile of crap and put them right on the BF:3 devolpment.

You were expecting a totally finished game from a beta that was just released? Why not reserve your judgment for when the game finally releases in 2011.

Normally I am the guy defending beta games saying, dude, it's a beta, leave it out. But really, REALLY, the game is just BF2 but completely slowed and dumbed down. I don't understand how anyone can see it being a worthwhile download/investment.

If you like BF Play 4 Free, pay for BF2 and you will not be disappointed lol...

So, did they lift the NDA? Because I must have missed that.

In all honesty I don't think anyone who has tried it would care if they lost their beta testing status lol.

No, I have never heard of a beta. Thanks for enlightening me on what they are.

I have played tons of betas in recent years, and I can see through the fixable things. I never review a game from its beta. But this game has too many things that can't be fixed without doing a major overhaul and basically changing the game.

I think those that play Battlefield Heroes will like it. Its kind of like Heroes with a BF2 skin on it, good for a quick blast which its intention. But for true Battlefield fans its not a turn on.

This is why I wouldnt bother with public betas either. Give the public a demo, at the most.
