Yep, dolphin diving and bunny hopping is rampant. I haven't played CoD in a while, but I was sure that it was never as much of a problem as it is in Black Ops (not even in MW2)
Dolphin diving is reserved to pre-patched BF2 ONLY. That is not dolphin diving! You can only dive to prone once, instead of looking like a dolphin jumping through the waves.
"Dolphin diving" and diving to prone in general I couldn't have less of a problem with. That hard to aim a little lower? You basically become a sitting duck while doing it. I've seen complaints about this since CoD4 and I've never understood it. :]
Patton brings up some good points though I don't agree with all of them.
Yea im with iQue here if anything the diving to prone is just getting everyone killed. I havent really had a problem with anyone going to prone.
Im finding the game fun but i do hate the currency system. It makes me laugh how they said the hardest part of developing the game was managing the currency system. Its not a currency system if everything costs the same and can be unlocked at the same time.
Either way other than the lag i have been enjoying it.
The currency system isn't what I expected. From what I thought they said, you unlock all guns for purchase at once and then buy the ones you want. But no...you still unlock the individual guns as you progress and then you have to buy it. Then you have to buy everything for each gun. Really stupid if you ask me.
Still to laggy to play for me. I did think the DOA and zombie modes were pretty fun. And the Zork game brought back memories, I remember playing it on my Commodore 64 back in the day.
4 pages and not one comment on the dedicated server part or the admin tools. WTF???? Guys come on! this is the most important part. Anyone???? There's no way this is gonna fly unless this factor is satisfied IMO

This is the idea i got aswell. I dont understand the point in still having to reach a certain level to unlock a gun and then FURTHER having to buy it aswell. Not to mention that you get enough money every level to buy the gun you just unlocked so basically the entire currency system is completely pointless.

There are dedicated servers....from one provider. Admin tools are out. Mod tools are later. So, whats left to talk about?
there is absolutely no teamwork, communication, tactics, strategy, nothing. straight run and gun.
maps are small and just bland and boring. nuke town is only fun because of the clusterf*ck that ensues
around half of your deaths are from knifes (knife lunge is still there)
lots of awards and challenges popping up all the time
the graphics have not improved since COD 2
the spawn system in TDM is the worst i have seen ever. they spawn behind you or on top of you all the time (more knife deaths)
everyone relys on radar so if you do not have a silencer or ghost perk you will be found and killed instantly
you rarely get to open your care packages and when you do you mainly get the RC ca or spy plane (both earlier killstreaks)
weapons take forever to reload if you run the mag dry, so make sure to reload with 1 or 2 bullets left
gas and stun grenades are very annoying
they have a reflex sight and a red dot sight and i cant for the life of me find any difference other than the red dot comes up quicker
the next round starts 10 or 15 seconds after you end so you have no time to look at all the end game stats or scoresheets
ok guys thats a bit harsh but i guess i was spoiled or too long with BC2 right? i never got MW2 so i cant compare
Yeah, you are comparing a lot of that with Battlefield play style. In CoD, you are on your own. Also, the features I left up are just like that in MW2. It sounds like this is a bit like MW2.2.

Crunch
Well lots!
What exactly does it mean when you say "from one provider"? what does this mean for the everyday gamer? Can we go into a game server much like BF2 or dare I say, BFBC2 and expect the same type of admining? One poster here said that there is still tons of hacking happening and not one word about whether or not there are actually server admins monitoring the rounds.
So far this game seems like the same deal as MW2. For some reason the powers that be really DON'T want us to rent and run clan servers. Nor do they want us to be as able to warn kick and ban players.
So in closing it's sending a message and that message is - Hackers and cheaters are more than welcome!!!!
I take it all back, its ****. I seem to get a DX error every time I try to connect to a server. I have submitted this to Activision who seem to be doing the support for the game.

So glad I didn't buy this game.
Yes, you can go into the same type of servers as BF2 and BC2 and get the same crappy admining you find in those games. The reason for that is because the server is ran based on how the people paying for it want to run it. If they are crappy admins, you get a crappy server. I've experienced it in 1942, BF:V,BF2, BC2, CoD4, CoDW@W, and I am sure we will see it in this. So its status quouo on that.
As for one provider, what I mean is you can rent yourself a server, as long as its from Gameservers. You can get a ranked one that has to be ran a specific way or an unranked one that looks like you can turn on or off a lot of different features. Much like in BF2 where if you made the wrong change, your server went unranked.
Yeah, its a shame hacks are in games, just like BF2 and BC2. Thats how it is. Even the best admins cant stop every hack, though they do a good job at trying.
I dont recall a post here about hacks all over the place. Im sure there are though as there werer for MoH as well and again, BC2,BF2,1942,BF:V, CoD4, COD:MW2, COD W@W.
So in closing; You can rent a server and admin it. There are tools to admin it with. There are cheaters, like everywhere else and I am sure they were welcomed just as well as anywhere else.
I'm glad you didnt buy the game either. Sounds like you would have really hated it.
