i installed 1.5 and 1.51, then done the so called "widescreen fix" that is suppose to be supported with 1.5. it ****s my game up and wont launch, after removing the + widescreen 1. it still doesn't work.

I need some help. I have upgraded to 2142 V1.51 and run into a problem that uninstalling and reinstalling has not helped. The loading goes well, no issues. when I start the game it gets to the initial dark screen and stops loading, no sound, nothing. I have tried removing all of the files and the registry entries then reloading the game from cd which takes me to v1.40 then loaded the 1.40-1.50 patch and finally the 1.51 patch. I have done this several times now and have started the game in between patches with no apparent problem but always encounter the same issue after installing the 1.51 patch. help please

its probably a refresh rate problem... try trashing the video.con file or editing the file with a notepad to put a compatible refresh rate and/or resolution.

Nope, life has been crazy busy. Slammed at work and had to prep for the annual Physical Inventory that I ran on the 26th. But, things are calming down. I haven't forgotten about it.

hey fast, how come TBG servers show up as almost full but then it's faked and the servers are empty? what's the point? it's really annoying!

No clue why its listed like that and not sure why you are adamant that I know. I hear ever since the gamespy maintenance.
But really if you hit the I button it gives the updated info does it not? I haven't been gaming 2142 pretty much since 1.51 was released because of the crap they've done to the game.

We put our idlers in there though and they are not bots, they are real account with real stats. There are other servers that report a ping of 0 but obviously really isn't. Something on DICE's end or gamespy i think and I don't know why. Doesn't really matter the game has more issues than these.


On a side note do you guys know when steam release is coming? They said "soon" but that was said 2 weeks ago.
