What perks do you use with the Chopper?

Calling out all chopper whores be it pilots or gunners.

What do you guys use, be it as a duo (flying with a friend) or by yourself with pubbys.

I usually go gunner and usually take the V-Reload option, it allows more rounds on enemy choppers as well as quicker reloading for killing those pesky infantry! Sometimes I take Optics but it depends on the situation.

My pilot has pretty much resigned to taking V-Smoke, he uses Body Armor sometimes to allow us to survive in against multiple tank gun fire, but Smoke pretty much is needed vs a team with even 1 tracer darter. No Smoke 9/10 leads to getting tracered and bailing/dying.

What do you guys take?

Pilot = smoke

Gunner = either reload+ or firepower+, but most of the time I can't really choose since either the chopper is taken by somebody else or I have no one to play with so I end up with smoke which is useless for gunner.

For me as pilot I chose smoke

For me as gunner I chose reload.

how da heck do you know in advance? the few times i've been in choppers weren't planned so i didn't have the appropriate perks.

I always have smoke since most wont mess with the chopper. If I get a guy that wants to fly with me, I give them the choice and adjust my kit.

Thats probably why you often times see people queuing up for the chopper. Their kits don't do **** on the ground, my guess.

I pretty much just use alt fire whatever the situation, sometimes I would prefer to have faster reload, especially on the UAV (but then no MG ) but I just cba changing the mods and I pretty much murder with it anyway

I have gotten ****ing good at hitting people and vehicles with the attack heli alt fire hellfire missile just by blindfiring it lol (no lock on)

Shoot, I didn't know you could blindfire that. I have to try this.

yer just whack the button, is an utter beast when you get the hang of it

won't hit your crosshair, and sort of flies from wide off the heli but with a bit of practice I can hit infantry with it lol

question: what does alt fire do for the pilot and the gunner? i know one gets the hellfire but what else is there?

the pilot has the hellfire and the copilot gets a tracer dart which the hellfire can lock onto

I love firing the things without lock though

It doesn't go straight to where the cross hair was aimed right? doesn't it arc down a bit?

False. Its just not guided. Sometimes you can hit targets though, but its usually luck.
