Based on the Forum Rules, I think this is the appropriate place to post a giveaway (if possible, the admins can hopefully move this thread to the Battlefield forum).

Since everyone seems to be making an iPhone/iPod Touch app these days, my clan friends and I decided to put together an app and I thought I'd give away a few copies here.

Here are a few screenshots:












1. Anyways, if you go to the US iTunes Store (you can always switch store locations in your settings), the first people to use these promo codes can download the $0.99 app for free: K3FXHYAKHHM3 or TY34JWTWE7NN. The codes are 1-time use only, so first come first served.

2. For people who get the codes too late, respond to this thread with your favourite Bad Company 2 soldier KIT (Assault, Recon, Engineer or Medic) and I'll be giving away a few more promo codes randomly in the next week.

Uh. Sorry for me asking but why would you want to check your stats on your iPhone when you can just check when you're at the computer? or on the Xbox?

Why rattle off on someone that put the time and effort into creating a tool. Don't be a tool about it. Besides, this person making this app looks like they made a nice clean product. I'm glad to see someone put effort out there like this and it is better to encourage people to create instead.

And what makes this a kinda nice tool to have is because some of us adults that work in the business world can not go out to gaming websites and talk with our co-workers about what happened the night before. So, when we can pull up stats on our phones we can say...oh, I'm going to work towards this award because I'll finally get this unlock, etc. It does not really come down to awards whoring, it is more about being able to talk about the statical information when we are sitting at lunch or on break.

It is a helpful tool developed for different people for different circumstances. Some people may not like it however there are similar apps to this (such as the WoW armory) which i presume (judging by the number of players) is very popular.

I wrote a nice long post here taking you to task on some of your previous posts in other threads about being negative towards other members and new members. Lets not muddy this thread about etiquette. Go over to the Reached a personal Goal - KDR 1+ thread if you need some insight. But, lets take it out of someone else's thread.

No problem, you made a good point. I think that iPhone apps in general aren't for everyone. This app in particular will only cater to a small subset of iPhone users and BC2 players. I made this app with my friends mainly because:

1. It was lots of work but really fun to make something useful that our entire clan/friends could use. Seeing people use the things you make is pretty sweet.
2. There wasn't any such app when we started the project (now there's a few in the AppStore to check out).
3. I just like making stuff.*

Hope that makes sense. In terms of the app, people can feel free to tell me what other features they'd like and I can see about fitting it in. Thanks for all the replies.
