And to the guy who said something about how BC2 is a console port, it's not. They had separate teams working on the PC version and another for the consoles.

OK, so it's not a port, but it's multi-platform. But you get the point. I don't know how to explain it, but these kind of games just have a different feel to them as far as maneuverability and the freedom of actions compared to PC exclusives.

You're surprised that a game that isn't merely called "Battlefield <YEAR HERE>" is a different experience than one called "Battlefield: Bad Company?" Really?

Aside from the "Battlefield" in the title, the rest should have clued you in that it wasn't going to be the same as previous games aside from, well, Bad Company 1..

In my defense, i never played bad company 1. nor have i looked at any gameplay videos from it aside from like 2 destruction videos, bad company 2 was my first game since 2142

In BF2 I was sniping with the Eryx but it was far harder to use than the Carl. But I remember Point of Existence on BF:V there was a lot of spam with the SRAW, or even LAW/RPG7 in BFV.

This is a multiplatform game but it's the same as a console port since the game is the same for all platforms.

Edit : it was RPG2 in BFV not RPG7.

Many people can disagree but i still much preferred BF2142 to BF2. The maps were better, the gun balance was better, the dynamic of the game felt better and more polished and i didnt have to run 300 metres to find a single enemy.

A lot of people will hate on me for saying this but i dont think BF2 was actually that good a game! Yes it was a step in the right direction and revolutionized online gameplay but i think that is what kept people hooked, the fact that it was such a new experience for people. If i load up BF2 now and try and play it i get bored after a few hours simply because the gameplay is a lot slower and very buggy. You can argue the game is old but imo a great game can never be too old that it gets boring. Heck i still play the original Enemy Territory online aswell as chucking on Doom every now and then, both of which for me will never get old.

BF2142 sucked so, I'm glad it's not like that. But yeah, it's not as good as the Battlefield series in general. I hope they make a true sequel to Battlefield 2 with that gameplay and maybe even port over the maps, but add in the graphics and destructible environments from this.
