It was done because otherwise the same people that cried about the jets in BF2 would be bitching up a storm about UAV whores..........the are making sure that the UAV never becomes a game wining factor in conquest.

With as easy as it is to kill I can't see that happening even if the UAV pilot was completely hidden from sight.

I think UAV placements should only belong to bases or safe spawns, but again, which one?

Two UAVs duke it out in the air? LOL. Dogfight on an RC scale.

On Rush they are but when you get to the 2nd stage the magic sheild gets removed and your vunrable, as for conquest I dont think theres any real purpose for using it as you wont survive long enough to get the most out of it.

You can have 2 UAV's on Nelsons Bay.

I discovered this the other day.....i think it must be related to the bug where if on the UAV you are out of the playing area and commit suicide if the first two objectives get taken and the team moves up. nothing like having a hellfire coming down every 12 seconds from 2 different uav's......

LOL, I actually got a kill with the UAV minigun today on Laguna Alta. All other tries at using the UAV on other maps resulted in me getting picked off from an entire base away by an SMG (Atacama) or RPG'd (Panama). Just makes the UAV worthless, which is a shame because it's kinda fun to fly.

This isnt really a factor at all when you consider you can take out a UAV in 3 pistol shots.
