Using Sidewinder 2 here, and tried Guillemot Top Gun stick. They 'almost' worked once, the throttle lever wasn't working and so was the banking, but after some patches they stopped working completely.

hey did you guys know there are flares in the game? apparently so, i didn't even know about this. :laugh:

Double checked the "flares not working" bug. It does work, you need to activate your flares or smoke to remove the tracer dart before a locked missile is fired. Once the missile is inbound, the flares will have no effect.

QA has checked the flares multiple times and works everytime in R7. We even had them double check on the day the patch released.

This has to be consoles only. There have been multiple people reporting that the flares aka smoke does not work for PC. And by multiple, i mean hundreds.

exactly, PC has never had this but they posted they do in the PC subforums.
just goes to show they probably don't even play the PC version much.
apparently majority of the things patched were done with consoles in mind and they admitted they didn't really think about how balancing affected PC...

Using saitek cyborg evo, my yaw and throttle are inverted and some buttons don't respond:dead:

I can help you with that. I edited my control files to remove all links between infantry and ground vehicles from the joystick, then got the chopper controls fixed. I also have an EVO.

If you cant manage to down the Hind with an AT4, you deserve to be raped repeatedly. There is no excuse with all these people with Carl Gustavs. They just are too focused on shooting at peoples feet rather than using it to kill what it is intended for.

Okay, you wiki Carl Gustav. Great. Point is, it is mostly used in game as anti infantry. As for 2142 helos, its comparing apples to oranges. And im def not gonna take your word for it concerning BC2 choppers as you have less than 30 minutes combined in all choppers. Sorry you cant do barrel rolls and back flips to evade enemy fire man.

Ill take your word for it, i never even played the demo of 2142. Not really my style. But if its anything like BF2 choppers, you cant really make the comparison to BC2 choppers.
