for some rason this game isn't very much fun anymore, its hard to find a game where the entire enemy team isn't using some sort of LMG and spamming it in a random direction to get 1 shot kills.

^^^^ The AN94 owns the M60 everytime (at least for me). Especially with 4x scope attached. Also, the AUG (whatchamacallit) is also a good contender against the M60.

honestly people don't know how to properly shoot the guns according to the game. I have noticed with the pkm you shoot 1-2 shot bursts while strafing it kills just as fast as the m60, the m60 is extremely inaccurate while shooting full auto while someone is in your face its ridiculous. Its funny how half you people complain about the m60 when people are not even using it to its full advantage, the way people shoot it sometimes is stupid. The mg36 is also a ballin gun, its extremely accurate and gets headshots galore but no one uses it or complains.....why is that?

o thats right because people dont want to learn the guns. they just want easy kills. and when someone gets an easy kill so to speak, people cry.

Also when you get killed and dont know from where and you see what killed you, you blame the gun. but infact blame yourself for not being aware.

Dude... I like your K/D. I checked your profile. I think there's a reason you're defending the M60. Hmm... what could it be. Oh! There it is! 2400 kills with M60! Your using a soon to be nerfed weapon. When it gets nerfed you'll be used to the M60. And it will get hard to go back to normal weapons again.

And I like that you say how good the other MGs are. You don't have over 40 kills on any of the other LMGs except for the M249 SAW, where you have 100 kills.

The M60 with magnum ammunition kills in FOUR shots at ANY range. It kills ANYBODY within ANY range in 0.3 seconds. I have played a great deal with the M60, I truly know how extremely overpowered it is. And I'm not mad it is that way, in every game there will be some flaws I mean no human is perfect, even developers can make mistakes. But they fix it in patchezz! The M60 is literally capable of MOWING down CROWDS of people. Which no other weapon in the game is capable of, MAYBE the AN-94 if your good with it. And that is the fastest killing assault rifle, and it's still not even close to M60.

I'll be honest, I wh0red the M60 as soon as I got it, all the way until I got the plat star.
Now I'm using the default PKM, I really like that also.

For the record that I never complain about any gun or tube or anything being overpowered, yet. But given my low rank and slow score rate, my experience is that PKM is OK, but Type 88 LMG is sketchy on accuracy, and I just don't get used to M249. Probably because I have some experience with the real ones before. There are times that I can't hit anything, and there are times half my shots landed on enemy. As a result, I got raped by the enemy (strangely, usually rank 20 and above since last weekend.) My theory is that M60 is the first decent gun in med class, so most use it because it works. If MG36 is god send like you say, some people will calling for nerf very soon.

However, it seems to me that meds are mostly low rankers like me at the moment.

BTW, how is MG3?

The mg3 is insane for close range, seriously shoots fast as hell. but for distance its worthless. way too weak. so i use it on laguna alta mostly

A good player will have better results with M60 than with MG36. I think that kind of philosophism is useless. Check the stats, it is overpowered and that's it.
Short range: kills faster than just about anything
Long range: takes the same amount of shots as semi auto sniper rifles with magnum bullets + about 1/2 of their recoil +550 rof + 100 round mag, add ACOG and go figure.

long range it takes atleast 5 hit marks to kill someone unless i hs em.

Some things you've mentioned such as learning how to use guns to their best, getting headshots -- these are some of the things that constitute skill. M60 gets you same or better results without having any skill. A good player might do just as well with MG36, but a bad one will always use M60. It's an overpowered gun, and so is the tube.

I agree but there are still people who are god awful with the m60, ive seen it in my squad. I really think it comes down to people not being aware, and when they see the gun that killed em without seeing the person they blame the gun, like ive stated before. Just because they see it a lot they state it as noob. sure it might be more powerful, but it will be said about every gun in all classes that has the most damage whether its by 10+ damage or .01. they will call it noob and need nerfed.

They did a piss poor job on the gun stats in this game. There are either crap guns or good guns. There should be a balance where they each have a set of pros and cons. Instead we are left with a few leet guns and the rest are ignored.

I agree concerning the m14, that **** is powerful as hell, but the m60 does kill faster and easier. that just doesn't make sense.

M60 is not that bad, just learn to use cover and strafe.

Funny no one complained about the M1 Garand, two shots is enough to drop someone and it's semi-auto, you can strafe left and right while accurately dropping that MG user.

I love that gun, accurate long range, accurate mid range, it's excellent!

I think because everyone has given up on trying to use it.

Yeah I thought so; the CG whining gets to me because it's not like you can't see the rocket flying towards you, and close range use almost always is a "I'm taking you with me" kind of deal, so the other guy gets a suicide. If you get hit with a gustav you are just not paying attention.

I used to think that too, but lately I have noticed some incidents where I was watching the Engineers, and then suddenly a rocket teleported to me.
I am sure it looked perfectly normal on their end, but the ever-present lag makes it seem like an instant death-ray for the targets.

Same with the 40 mm thing; it's supposed to force you to move out of cover, to clean thw way, and let the bullets finish off whatever was left standing.
