It isnt wrong that guys should of been moving more in his spot (making it less likely to get shot by a dart)
It is wrong to harass someone to the point of quiting or switching kits. Like Frosty said, I would think this tactic would encourage team switching, which you may be thinking "good", however, we all know how much fun it is when its 5 against 16. I dont care how good you think you are, you are going to die a lot and lose on top of that.
This brings back all the shenanigans of BF2 and being TKed for vehicles and banned on servers for not doing EXACTLY as the admin expects. Do this to your friends as a joke, I get that, but to "police" how the game is to be played? Everyone have their brown shirts and know how to goose step? At least you can leave a server that has stupid rules. You play on a server that is pretty cool and then douche bags come on and start this up is simply lame.
Better yet, recon guys that have this done to them, switch to the assault kit with the gun and run around doing it to the entire squad that did it to you. That seems pretty fair and now that you are assault, you can resupply your darts.
I played on a server with an abusive admin already, who didn't like snipers hanging back and just started kicking them.... making the team short handed and we all know how well auto balance works. So yeah he was pretty much an idiot.

And in the end of the day, you're actually an even less of a use to your team because not only are you sitting back putting tracer darts on allies, but you're not even killing anything, at all...
Thing is people tend to think a sniper class sits and camps whereas in this game its VERY easy to actually be moving around on the frontline and do well. With my red dot technique i have been racking up the kills and providing offensive and defensive duties.

To all you tards who say this is a great idea, go cry more and join a different server, and keep joining servers till you find one without campers. It is the Server Admins job to determine whether or not they will allow camping (I've been in a few servers where a message flashes every couple minutes - No Sniper Camping or Kick) ... it isn't your job, and isn't your right either! They bought the game, and any game that has a sniper class in it, will sure have campers. A class called "Recon" or not, doesn't mean a sniper is going to push for the same objective you are ... hence they have an option for a 12x Scope.
Pretty sure Bolt Action Rifles aren't very good CQB weapons. Dee Dee Dee's. As far as I am concerned, all who agree with this stupid "Police Cop" nonsense are all asshats. Grow some balls, because quite franquely, a lot of people who rush to the objective's aren't very good either at playing this game, which, push come to shove, is probably a few of you in this thread saying how amazing Darting Snipers is. Please, just like these camping snipers, go to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove > Uninstall BC2.
This way, you don't need to be annoyed by campers, and we'll all be that much happier.
Sniping is my least used class out of the 4, but when I am sniping, I don't want some moron coming up to me and darting me. In fact, if someone was such an *** and did that, I would simply come back with a dart, and dart them so as they run around looking for enemies, they too are glowing red.

Agreed. Instead of going for the objective, you're gonna take your precious time going up to these snipers and darting them. Wasting them at least a good solid minute or two that you could be going for the objective, and helping your team get kills.

And guess what else, that means you can even defend the objective easier too! Last time I checked, you don't need 16 people on the bomb site to plant, the default key is "E". Go up to the objective and hold E. A bar should appear, and oh wow, you armed the site! Congrats, oh wait ... what's that? A bad guy just died in front of you? Ohh! Well, that was your friendly sniper up in the mountain watching your failing .75 KDR *** as you attempt to get +30 points for a plant.
Damn, you died and they're rushing the objective? Well thankfully that camping sniper just called Mortars on it, I'd like to see them defuse it now, while you are your "Rush" squad gets your act together and attempts to make your way back to the objective.

I'm telling you, the idiocy some people have is just terrible. I would expect this from a console player (stereotype), but I didn't think PC players, especially BF veterans would really stoop so low. We don't judge how terrible you play, so let them play however way they want. If you don't like it, donate $50 to them and tell them to be Assault. If you don't have $50 to donate to every camper out there, then suck it up and grow a pair. I prefer to think as it as "attempting to win the game".
There is room, even need, for snipers giving cover fire and spotting enemies. But what we do not need is 8 snipers covering the same area. At least not when attacking. If defenders want to camp then its fine with me, that is their job.

I cant count on a single hand the number of times I have seen a mortar strike on an armed M-COM.
And the typical snipercamp will not even have a line-of-sight to the objective

Well clearly they aren't watching the team at all, which means the problem isn't that they are campers ... the problem is that they are simply bad gamers. When me and my clan snipe, our purpose is to cover the M-COM's for our guys to get in and arm them, and then once armed, we all call mortars on it.
Clearly a lot of frustration is being put against the Recon class and the people who use it, when it should be properly directed towards the people who simply suck at it.
