I've played all the Battlefield series games and BC2 feels like a DICE game, but not truly what I think of as a Battlefield game. I'm used to much bigger combined arms battles. That's "Battlefield" to me. BC2 looks gorgeous, sounds amazing and is a fun first person shooter, but it doesn't have the "magic" that other BF games had. I don't dislike it at all, but they could have left the "Battlefield" out of the title IMO.

I agree in this sense. Many of the other battlefield games the players would be channeled into one area of the map and there would be an all out fire-fight. In BC2 I've noticed its a bunch of smaller 1 v 1 or 2 v 2 conflicts that take place on the battlefield and it does indeed loose the BF magic as you said. Nevertheless it is still one of the best new FPS games out at the moment and will probably stay that way for quite a while to come until BF3.

bf2 has the bad hitreg, 2142 doesn't really suffer from it.

It feels very Battlefiled to me, but It might depend on how you played the previous Battlefields.
You wont get the same feeling as 64 players on a IO server where everybody is spamming bullets at a chokepoint, but I never liked that anyway.

But I think the vehicles are suffering from the small maps, at least on Rush. It is starting to feel like they are running on rails. Even BF:H felt better in that aspect.

Yup, still even on conquest the maps feel far far too small to me, absolutely no room to flank (that is actually worth doing).

Rush is fun, I like it more than Conquest, but when your team cant even get the First 2 mcoms... its horrific as everyone gives up and goes sniper and that is exactly what the does not need. Needs more bodies piling into the mcoms.



I voted no, feels like an attempt at CoD's inf with a few vehicles here and there. Its a fun game, but not really what I would call a fully fledged BF game. (I know its not meant to be).

Definitely feels nothing like COD.

Like many pointed out, I think the maps can be too narrow at times. We need more space to flank and manuever our vehicles. I think it still has the BF formula but its lacking in certain areas compared to past BF games.

I think the squads should be 6 man not 4 and maps should be wider.

Its definitely a BF games because I've had too many BF moments for it not to be.

I voted yes, although it is not like past battlefield games it still has the battlefield feel imo

BF feel but in a little tighter package. I for one really like the more infantry focused gameplay.

Scary how much this game feels like old BF games. I still wish there was a hardcore mode, for something different.
