Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Giving tank a crosshair in third person view? Seriously... I mean I use this exploit too and I'm not too proud of it, but it just irritates me when in that view you can see anyone trying to sneak up c4 on you.
-and don't tell me to go play hardcore mode because that's just like going into an all sniper only server...
Third person view in vehicles has been in BF for a long time, so it hasn't really been dumped down from anything.
Its a trade off between being able to shell things accurately, and being aware of your surroundings. You cant do both.
Yes but this game has crosshair in 3rd person view.
I've always found 3rd person view in vehicles to be unfair advantage, crosshair or not. At least in this one you can disable it from server side setting, now just need to get every srver do it.
The crosshair in 3d view doesnt do a ****.... try to point the crosshair at something and then switch back to inside, it wont be in the exact same place, speccially when pointing down. The crosshar is big and its not accurate, so its almost basicaly like in other bfs, it just shoes u the center of the screen
Talking about 3d views, and getting a little out of context:
a week before launching (2 march) i saw a guy on youtube commenting a video were there was a little of 3d vehicle outside view and he was like this:
"!omg awsome! it will have 3rd person Capture the flag modes! awsome! i want to play third person modes"
the 3rd person camera is more or less useless for shooting, the crosshair is the size of a house and even then its usually unreliable
3rd person camera is best use simply for seeing threats etc or for example picking out tanks behind cover. On Arica harbour etc it can be very useful for seeing approaching enemy vehicles or simply seeing where your rounds are landing when you are bombarding a position
I couldn't even shoot a humvee that was more or less point blank with the 3rd person camera, its simply a visual tool which I find extremely useful.
Servers can even disable it, and I don't think the vast majority of vehicle users even use it.
Hell I only fly in the blackhawk or hind in 3rd person, even in the attack choppers I spend a lot of my time in 3rd person
IMHO the third person view is necessary for navigating vehicles around all the obstacles.
Sure it is not realistic, but neither is the tunnel vision you get in the vehicles.
I usually travel in third person and fight in first person.

You got it. Switch views to detect possible threats and then engage in first person.

No offense but all you do is seem to complain about anything the game does which is slightly different from bf2...
Its not. The 3rd person crosshairs are very innacurate and the 3rd person view has been around forever in Battlefield Games.
The crosshairs in 3rd person view is more of a box. If it was a dot or actual crosshairs, I would think it was unfair, but since spalsh damage is not very strong on light tanks and innacurate on heavy, I just dont see it a problem.
Besides, people still bail out when they see me planting C4 on them, and thats good enough for me.
Since when has Battlefield been about realism? You can mod your server, otherwise, this is how BF is. I personally feel very claustrophobic in the tank's cockpit. So whenever not in battle, I always go 3d for a breather. Also, with the limited 3d, by the time you see a recon with c4 behind you, they are already sticking c4 onto you, and the tank's accelerations stands no chance, so I'm pretty sure tanks would be one of the most vulnerable things in BC2 if they were limited to first person.
