The stats don't track with the M1 atm though :< ) means I can't get my insignia's for all bronze stars.

The Garand IS overpowered; it outperforms modern sniper rifles and single fire assault rifles.

The M1 Garand fires a .30 round which has devastating hitting power. Just about every other assault rifle in the game fires essentially a .22 cal spit wad in comparison. The M1's round is closer to what most of the LMG's in the game are firing.

I have had a chance to fire both an M1 and an AR15 in virtually side by side comparison. The M1 kicks like a mule and the AR15 feels more like a kid's toy with little to no kick at all.

I know it is just a game and everything is done for balance's sake, most of the time but in reality the M1 should have greater knockdown power than just about every modern assault rifle, especially the ones in this game.

The M24 kills with one shot in the game and the M1 does not, if anything it is underpowered compared to sniper rifles.

There are reasons for this other than the power of each weapon. Modern ARs(Assault Rifles) have methods in place to reduce recoil and "kick."

IMO the gun is a little fail if you think about it. With Mag rounds its about 4 shots to kill a guy, SHOULD be 3 if they ever patch the damage patch into it. Which will make it even more of my favorite gun.

I can use it but it doesnt register kills so you are not missing much.

The server patch is optional at the moment, try some other servers and you will probably find it working.

I finally got to try it. First impressions is that it that its lack of optics hurt it at long range, and the blocky sight hurts it at close range
The muzzle flash also means that you cant really readjust your aim while you are firing, you will either have to let the gun settle so you can re-aim, or fire blindly where you aimed at first

On the plus side, it has a relatively quick ROF so it can be used in CQB. It is also possible to reload a half-full magazine, the clip is just ejected.

i'm getting more lag with R7. detection delays (like getting a kill a second after your fatal shot takes place) are worse than before.
