We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
i found something even cheesier than noob tube. carl gustav. with explosive damage and extra explosives perks, i have 7 extra rounds of rockets to snipe people with. got my 50 double kills pin spamming it on every red arrow i see, including snipers on the other side of the map.
Thats the problem when everyone starts chanting nerf, it becomes extreme the other direction. The thing that still irks me is the C4 in BF2. Before you could throw it just about anywhere. Then they shorten it to where its this little distance. Then finally you pretty much have to touch whatever you are trying to plant. I bet people still complain about how overpowered C4 is.
Crunch
The thing with C4 wasn't the fact you could chuck it 20 meters away in any direction; it was the fact you could also detonate it while in mid air, so it became a form of carpet bombing that required "skill" but was unfair, since everybody knows a jumping soldier in BF2 was next to invulnerable while in midair. also compunding the matters, was the fact you can change direction in midair in BF2, add in mid air prone, macros, and you had one bunny hopping nuking machine that could restock in a second, and go at it again. Then add FF off, and you have a recipe for disaster on IO maps.
A toned down form of this is back in BC2, you can throw C4 somewhat far, and you can detonate at any moment in midair, but you have to risk blowing yourself up; all explosives can kill the user even with FF off, so you can suicide. I've seen also a couple recon and assault blowing themselves up and bringing down a building on them because of this so even if you could throw it 10 feet away, you'd still have to deal with the explosive wave and destruction.

It's insanely satisfying when you are forced to turn the game into Quake 3 Arena, and get the physics of it right, and pull off fantasy shots. You can only imagine them shouting "HAX!" when they look at the kill cam and see you shot them from the BH, or countersniped at maximum distance.

Ah, but the one savoring trait of the CG is that it will be more than happy to kill you if you use it up close.
Yesterday I got on top of a Medic party and shot the CG directly down at them. Triple Kill + 1 suicide, but I still think it was worth it :) Might have been quadruple or more if I had the extra explosive damage unlocked.

About the M60. I seem to be killed more and more by the M60 and less by the 40mm, does anybody else notice this?
I could easily imagine that the M60s reputation as overpowered are attracting a certain crowd.
I dont really mind, except that it is a bit boring seeing every medic carrying a M60 with Magnum rounds
The M60 is only cool against unsuspecting enemies, spray and pray doesn't work like advertised and you rely a lot on luck, even with magnum rounds.
Most of your deaths against M60 will be from your blind side, while you are reloading, or from the back, and in those cases any weapon would kill you. If not, there are rare ocasions when the enemy medic will fire before you, and the M60 being what it is, it will overpower you; you know, like it SHOULD.
My question wasn't so much if the M60 is overpowered, but more if is replacing the 40mm as the weapon of the day.
I hardly see any medic using other weapons, and there seem to be a lot more red-caps around.

Yeah, I've noticed this as well, although I did see a few medics yesterday using one of the other later MGs (MG3?). Medic does seem to be taking off as the class of choice, now, but as they're the only class to not have an insta-death explosive I'm fine with it. It's annoying having to put up with temporary invincibility and hordes of zombies, but at least I feel I have a chance to fight back. People that shoot rockets and 40mms at my feet from 10m away make me feel more like target practice than an active participant. In 9/10 of the games I play I'm the only one in the entire server using the Remington, so I'm doing my part to keep things from becoming samey.

it's just perception, if they told them the PKM was the nooby weapon, they'd be using the PKM, kind of like at the beginning both teams were made of pure recon, cos recon was cool. I get killed more, and it irritates me, to be shotgunned with the gol using magnum rounds.
give it a couple of weeks, they'll realize their K/D isn't improving magically and that no matter hwo much they fight they won't mke as many points as if they did behave like medics and the bandwagoners will get off, and we'll only have to deal with the true rambo jesus.
I think grenade launchers shouldn't be a standard on the rifles. The 40mm grenades aren't overpowered, they're just overused.
My two suggestions to removing this issue would be making the M203 a gadget you would have to pick. The sacrifice would be no ammo hub. The second tweak would be making the grenade launchers limited to a 20m range before arming.
In a way, I kind of like that they are resupplyable. It gives the noobtubers a higher purpose - they have to drop ammo to refill the toob and in turn I can vulture off of their ammo packs (both friendly and enemy) to refill my ammo. If it came down to deciding between unlimited ammo and cheap kills, you'd definitely see many people side with cheap kills which means fewer ammo packs for the rest of us.
