I just went 21 and 3 with the saiga on panama. I'm not that good. Really I think assault with shotty and c4 is kinda overpowered. They can easily deal with vehicles and take down 2-3 infantry that might be near by. Sure they suck at distance...but the pistol is a surprisingly effective substitute.

oh. and they never run out of ammo. >=D

I use it quite a lot it's helpful when people are hiding behind cover.

I absolutely love noob tubes. That, alone with RPG spam and tank whoring, are my primary methods of getting kill. Actually, UAV whoring, shotgun spamming, C4 bunny jumping (doesn't seem to work as well, though) and Jihad quad bike are all my favored ways of getting kills.

Considering the other options ..
Under Barrel Shotgun : Only kills at extreme close range, and to the head on a full health guy.
Under Barrel Smoke Launcher : Smoke provides cover, which most pubbys don't give a **** about anyway.
Under Barrel Grenade Launcher : One hit kill with decent range and relatively easy to use .

Why the hell would you NOT, use the grenade launcher ?

Some sense of bravado ?

Do I use it? Of course. I don't mind being killed by a grenade launcher, I honestly don't. As long as it is used as a grenade launcher and not some retards excuse for not being able to aim.

If I'm hiding behind a wall and someone GLs the wall behind me to kill me with the splash then fair play. No complaints from me. But if they are just standing on the top of a building with an ammo box firing at the ground near anyone that moves. Then they should be banned from using that god damned NOOB TUBE.

You can't control how people use weapons. Plenty of weapons have some way in which you can "abuse" them to your advantage. The GL is just more obvious and easier for newbies.

I would be a bit more bothered by it if "noob toobers" were actually always on the top of the board. They usually aren't. I am. :p

I have been using the shotgun attachment and its great at flanking enemies or getting you out of a hot situation, just wish it was 2 rounds instead of 1.

That shotty is more like an humilliation tool, as it was in 2142 (or is it, will be? gets complicated). more so now with the killcam on. You can use to mean the guy was not worthy of getting his dogtag, since you practically have to shove the damn thing in their mouth.

Its in the game. I use it. Generally to flush multiple players from a room. Otherwise, its not that big a deal.

No, it's still there; and he said that abusing the toob is pretty much what to expect, since you wouldn't choose a small weenie over a big one if you had the chance to choose, would you? and it's funny and it's funny cos it's true.

I rarely play Assault but when I do I find the tube is especially effective at making doors in buildings or giant windows so that you can cover the MCom station. Also, it is good for killing that guy hiding in the corner after he just planted the bomb. I will usually hit whatever exterior corner is close to me with either the tube or RPG. I've had numerous blind kills that way. Then I pop through the new 'door' and defuse with no fuss.
