Every server I've joined the past two days, no matter what the ping on the browser shows my ingame ping is over 250.Joined an NYC server yesterday, over 300! And I'm in NYC on a 25/25 fiber line.

Game is unplayable at this point.

On the EA UK Forum, a DICE Dev said that they were looking into updating the Server List UI.

Fix the master servers first! I WOULDN'T BE HERE IF THEY WERE WORKING (inb4 cruise control to cool).

Thats the thing, none of us would be here if we could get in the game.

I had better luck earlier but i still dont understand why when i have the PB box ticked i return no servers however when i dont i get maybe 50-100 at best?

Do none of the servers use anti cheat?

My issue with the browser is that it's too slow. Spinning spinning more spinning.

Yeah, I didn't even bother reading the rest of this post, but welcome to the Battlefield series. I still sometimes try and play older BF games and come to realize why I stopped playing them, because trying to find a game was like pulling teeth.

But thats the thing, i feel this server browser is actually a step backwards :s

I know that 1942 and BF2 at the best of times had pretty bad browsers and i understand that they were patched a lot to be fixed, but i dont understand how it can really be this crazy, especially since the beta browser imo was better than what we have now.

It's the server overload; apparently BC2 has more active users than BF2 had at its peak. Or total, or something, but it's a funkton of users trying to log in.

I don't think EA or DICE expected so many people to try a "not BF" BAttlefield game.

Well the issue with log in is that (sorry I digress), I HAVE TO LOG OFF to accept my friends requests!!

That alone adds to the internet traffic. Why can't we just accept them without leaving the present game?

Im getting really tired of playing this game, or rather a lack of being able to play it.

The server browser is the biggest pile of **** since FFOW was released!

• The punkbuster filter doesn't stick and it seems more servers return if it isn't ticked.
• Im returning about 50 servers total, 1 of which is Australian and permanently full.
• A server can have about 20/32 players and when you try to join it says its full or does NOTHING
• Half of my favourites are grayed out for no apparent reason
• Pings in server browser are erratic at the best of times

Not to mention the unlocks stability atm and the fact i have had my stats reset 4 times now because i got disconnected from EA whilst updating (seems to reset everything).

I agree, the server browser is horrible. I just leave the PB filter off. When I put it on, I get 20 servers or so. When I turn it off, I get tons of servers, most of which say that PB is set to "on" in the server info portion of the loading screen. The issue with 20/32 players probably has to do with reserved slots. The game does not display reserved slots, so if a 32 player server has 12 of them, then full for it would be 20/32. Favorites are grayed out when the server goes down usually, but I have seen some people reporting that the server goes gray when the admin changes the name
