Do i think its a ok game to wait for bf3 ,yes(having said that i think we have waited too long for bf3 ect.they should be up to bf4 by now)
Does the game have too many issues to be released!,yes but this may be because it was made for consoles in mind.

EA please make BF3 as we know it and in the meanwhile i will think about this game some more:salute:

p.s there are a few clues in BC2,first few single player rounds in BC2 WW2 is a teaser to bf3? and the wrecked ship map is a trail or tease to making boats again?:p( can only dream)

It's "CoD" on steroids cause you think everyone runs in there and dies for fun. Do you think at all before you run into a combat situation, Rambo? (No offense, because you obviously must get this idea from doing so or something man) It was like this on 2142 Launch or any other BF launch then you got some people who thought "HURR DURR MAYBE I SHOULDNT BE RETARDED" and learned to hang back. Or maybe that's just my clan. Or anyone with a brain.

If time means everything why don't you have a better understanding on things? Take this as advice dude. It's not as bad as you think it is. I even edited the post because it looked like more of an insult then being informative. Even the Brain part wasn't needed but I didn't think to look at that (no pun intended). and really calling me a noob on this even makes you look sillier bro. :/

I can't compare them but I can give you an idea of what they're like on consoles. You don't really have a server browser like in BF2 on consoles. From the multiplayer menu you are given choices:

          Play Now
          Play With Friends

          Play Now
From here you can basically choose what game mode you want (Rush, conquest or both, squad rush or squad deathmatch), Map and whether you want hardcore mode on or not. Once you select these you are put in a random game with your game settings. You can't see what servers there are or which one you want to play on.

          Play with friends
From here you can create a squad or start private game.

          Create Squad
This lets you make a squad with up to 3 other friends. Then you can assign a clan tag and choose the same options as in the Play Now section. Once you start it puts your squad in a random game with the settings you chose. No server list or anything.

          Private Team Match
Here you can host your own game if you want. I think you need 8 players (including you) to play tho. You can invite players, organize teams, and choose game options like in Play Now. Once you have selected your stuff you can start your own game.

I haven't played a private team game but I don't think you can admin the game like you can on the PC version although I'm not 100% sure.

Thats about it for consoles I think. It doesn't really bother me about not being able to choose the server as you don't get crazy admins like on the PC version. Also you don't get any set rules or hacks like on the PC so there are benefits to both I guess.

Thanks a lot BrokenMachine. I must say Im disappointed with the solution. "Crazy admins" was a rather limited problem, and had more benefits than negatives. In a few weeks Im going to ask you about the general behaviour of the folks on the console version.

No problem man. The solution really isn't as bad as you think. 9 times out of ten your put in a full/nearly full game. It is designed for public players but if there was a clan scene for consoles then there are the options for this as well. But yes it could use some work.

As far as players go there seem to be a lot of new players that don't know what they;re doing. I've seen defenders on rush standing by crates that are armed and not actually trying to disarm it like they don't know they have to. It seems to be a mix of players that do and don't know what they are doing. Might be better in a few weeks once people get used to the game. At the moment its a bit like a shooting gallery for the people that know what they are doing.

Also one other good thing is no Punkbuster! This is the reason I can't play BF on my PC anymore as this thing just annoys the hell out of me saying no heartbeats or whatever and kicks me.

Re: Is this the same battlefield?

Machine, I was hoping that they had server browsers and clan-maintained servers to see how a console community would react and adapt to the positives of the PC community, namely unified microcosms where players with similar mindset become "regulars" and are less "anonymous" so to speak. Kind of like MW2 introduced popular P2P to PC-s which negatively influenced the general behaviour of the players, the whole dedicated-server package could deliver its own set of advantages to the console community (as most of them have little to no idea about it and are more connected through the game they play, rather than the server they see each other every day). Of course, theyd have to deal with a few servers with abusive kiddie-admins, but I doubt its going to be that much of a different step below ragequitting hosts and whatnot. :P

Ill definitely bug you when I have more questions.

It would be interesting to see them do this, your right. I don't think clan gaming is as prominent on consoles as it is on PC's though so they're probably trying to please the majority which is pub gamers. Less problems to deal with then.

Where do people get the spray and pray junk from? The infantry combat is more reliant on aim then BF2 ever was.

Uhm... Rambo, there are aquabikes and 3 people boats in-game.

and can we leave WW2 behind please? We had games on that setting for over a decade, I think it's time to let it rest a decade, then go back to it.
You can only do Omaha Beach so many times...

Yeah. Spraying will only get you dead unless you're actually at point blank range and lucky.

I havent played that much, but from what I see, this is not the true battlefield, but that is most certainly not a bad thing. I agree with most of you, its a bit like cod, but much deeper. I hope the fact that the PC has the best sales will motivate Dice to come back with a traditional Battlefield. I think we can all agree that is overdue.

If your not open minded enough to try something else and your basically after BF3 then don't buy BC2, we could have told you that 12 months ago, it's a more fast paced, slightly clunkier (in terms of character movement, reduced POV etc.), prettier version of 2142 (mostly due to the art style) with smaller maps and more dominant tanks and APCs.

Best way I could sum it up when I'm hungover anyway.

Yeah I agree, you guys should have realised pretty quickly that spraying does not work.

I've found them to be Very solid as well. You will see most snipers using the Base sniper (M24) and then you'll see a lot of people use different guns based on their style of play. I prefer the Base assault rifle (AEK) because it has a lot of power and great accuracy, it fits my gaming style. Generally there are close range guns and longer range guns to be unlocked.

BUT.... **** YOU GODDAMN 40MM WHORES! The ****ing nade launcher is the dumbest ****, since it is on the class that supports ammo giving. So the bitches never run out. The worst is when you get killed and you see the ******* has 2+ gold stars on that weapon, they are the noob fags of the game IMO.

This is NOT a spray and pray game, It is even less of spray and pray than the past Battlefields IMO, even when the enemy is a few feet in front of me, just spraying gives me a fraction of the chance of killing him I'd have if I used the crosshairs.
