Is this the same battlefield?

Just like the name suggests, is this the same battlefield that we all know and love? The last battlefield games that I played religiously were Bf2 and 2142, I tried to get into the original bad company but it was just too different. Would somebody like me enjoy Bad Company 2?

I'm also skittish to get it cause if i do get it i'll need to upgrade my pc.:dead:

This is battlefield bad company 2. A combination of Counter-Strike, COD, and Quake.

It's all about who can spray the fastest and who can survive the longest.

The vehicle roles have changed as well. Tanks and APCs are becoming self-propelled artillery.

That's BFBC2 in my eyes.

^ I realize that it's a different game and has a different feel, but what i'm wondering is if i play it will it be familiar or is it just a dumbed down bf2?

The destruction totally changes the game for me. A long conquest map changes significantly when it goes on, the battlefield is in flux by the second and cover isn't guaranteed like it is in other games

I would have to disagree, while they can take on that role, punching through especially if you have a machine gunner, and a little infantry support, is easy with a tank. A couple tanks and infantry back up is basically a small army.

Here is a good team work tactic. If you are in the machine gun spot and the tank driver just shelled a building, shoot into the hole that was just created. Chances are you'll at least scare out everyone from that floor, and possibly rough up or kill people. keep it up, and people just tend to run out of the whole building rather quick. and then you pick them off while they spill out.

For me It's not BF2, possibly closer to 2142, but the destruction makes it feel like a new generation of game. I hope that newer war games keep this up. Especially considering how many decent games have had this in the past it need to become standard.

There is no clear answer. Some BF2/BF2142 Vets thinks this is a great BF game, and others hate it.

Unlocked all for Medic/Assault almost done for Engie. They're all pretty solid. The guns for assault are like you'd expect and there are multi role weapons. AKA Long range or one for just close (Like the M416.). Medic isn't "super" but they are pretty good. I still prefer assault compared to them. Don't know about sniper because I am not a ******.

To me it doesn't feel like a dumbed down BF2, more like a smart version of a console game. The movement still doesn't seem as fluid to me as some PC FPS games, but a BF vet will not have relearn how to play the game.

Id like to know how the server browser and servers work for the consoles? Matchmaking? Browser? How are servers listed and are they named? Can you admin the servers? A comprehensive comparative post would be GREATLY appreciated, or a link to the right direction. Offering backrubs.

Bf2 killer ,No way!

Cod game on steriods,Yes!

I actuall played a friends full version and didnt think it was so bad now,would i like to see battlefield go this direction now?NO and NO!

Do i think its a ok game to wait for bf3 ,yes(having said that i think we have waited too long for bf3 ect.they should be up to bf4 by now)
Does the game have too many issues to be released!,yes but this may be because it was made for consoles in mind.

EA please make BF3 as we know it and in the meanwhile i will think about this game some more:salute:

p.s there are a few clues in BC2,first few single player rounds in BC2 WW2 is a teaser to bf3? and the wrecked ship map is a trail or tease to making boats again?:p( can only dream)
