Ranking seems far too fast IMO. I'm rank 7 already and I haven't played that much. In the PS3 beta the ranking seemed to take a lot longer. I'm already seeing people with the M95 which is ridiculous considering the game has been out a few days. In the beta it was a while before anyone had the best weapons for each class. The really high ranks only came when the beta was finishing although there was a stat padding problem by the end of the beta and so distorted what ranks some people should have been on.

Its a shame as I think working towards ranks/unlocks helps give longevity to games and making it almost too easy and quick to get the best stuff just spoils it I think.

Sniper requires the least amount of points to unlock their stuff. Assault and engy are a little far up that chain.

A lot of the players have just been playing a longer time than most i guess. I have found that this game isnt hard to rank up though, you only need one decent round and you are already half way to ranking up.

Yup, but it really isn't what you think, As I am seeing it they want people to have unlocks quickly. And then to get to the higher ranks you spend more time at it.

I'm at rank 15 after 11 hours I think

only whored assault, got a lot of gold stars etc then you start getting a lot of high point awards etc and points really rackup

One thing i do miss are the awards that really take some time getting, and i mean hours upon hours of squad play.

I have unlocked stuff pretty quickly, although I wish they took more time to unlock. I heard after a certain rank, some weapons/ranks take a while to achieve. If you work as a squad, you'll rank up quicker.

Ranks 6 because I can't connect, if I can play 2 hours a day I'm lucky. Earned my share of "best player of the round" pins (don't know the english name, ace thing) and some golds stars so I got a lot point, then suddenly get owned by everything with a 0.5 K/D on some maps and rack a measly 500 points.

Otherwise two words suddenly appear in my mind : stat-padding. I'm sure some clan members did try this like the old BF2/2142 way.

I'm almost rank 21 (AA12 weee) with 19 hours

if you want to rank fast you just need to pay attention to some of the insignias, teamwork will net you plenty of 5k ones as well as some 10k ones

Yea i have found thats the way to go aswell. I got from rank 7 to 12 tonight simply by looking at the badges i needed and played accordingly.
