Yeah, it's strange because it changes things to what we already had in PC Beta or at least it seems so.

    For instance,

    (In PC Beta)
F2000 took 8 shots to kill at close and 8 at long range. Decreasing damage at close range would mean 9/8 which doesn't make sense, so I reckon it had been 7/8 before.

Type 88 felt like it had already been nerfed.

Auto snipers certainly couldn't kill with 1 headshot in Beta.

There were no recoil issues with M249+red dot.

The base deviation was already zero for most weapons and so on, so it really seems to be changing the ps3 version to what we have played.

But when I read those lines about assault rifles being nerfed, it pissed me off big time...

ok i know i might get flamed for this; but am I the only one here that ALSO plays consoles?

The damage of weapons in the PC beta was unnervengly low, I didn't get to play the PS3 beta first hand, only when visiting a friend; but if the PS3 demo is any indication, that's the version we'll get on PC and it works something like this:

-almost all weapons can be used with hip firing at close range, but it's a whole clip deal, deviation is not insane, but the spread while moving makes running and gunning a very risky venture.
-Shotguns at close range makes them all a one shot kill to the chest, but they don't have a verywide spread, so you have to be dead center, delay between cockings make them take skill except for the saiga, wich has reduced damage over distance too.
-It's very weird, but all the last patch shuld make all weapons not so different between them, it's only small details; so you choose a weapon that suits your playstyle, instead of just taking the "best" weapon.

THERE YOU GO! Thats what battlefield has allways been about! I am bored of seeing those cod fanboys saying: "omg i ulocked a weapon in this game and it is worse than the previous i had, omg this game is gay *** and gay"
It's so stupid because they dont consider that things like damage may be lower but it will have a bigger magazine, or a highter firing rate, or less recoil, or more range, or vice versa. In that way its balanced and people use what's best for different situations and what best suits them, If weapons actually were like:
            1st weapon: 40%damage 40%recoil 40%range
            2ndweapon you unlock: 60% damage 30%recoil 50%range
(like in cod4, waw and mw2.)

and so on and on it would make the game unbalanced and stupid.
But anyways i keep earing people on youtube like: "I just dont understand why in this game, the new weapons you ulock are worse... instead of beeing better... so what do you want to ulock them for if you already have better weapons?"
Why people make bad comments/reviews like this before even think about it, and give it a deep analise/research?

Ouch, that typo causes unpleasant mental images

But otherwise I agree, the great thing about the weapons is that they fit different situations and playstyles.
