BC2 is basically a console game that PC gamers are getting a taste of because DICE knows they have to throw a bone to PC guys while we wait for the next full blown BF game. just set realistic expectations and don't expect the likes of previous BF games we had on PC.

YOU GAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO GET THIS GAMING EXPERIENCE.
But yet somehow, some people feel they are entitled to something else. Even though you have given NOTHING, and been giving a FREE BETA.
This, is NOT Battlefield 3, nor is it a sequel to Battlefield 2, nor was it intended to be, or meant to be, or does it share anything else with battlefield 2 aside from the the "battlefield" Moniker.
When the Full, retail PC game comes out. Then by all means, complain about what you don't like , but you know what , if you don't like the FREE beta, DONT PLAY IT.
Its really that simple, do not complain about something which you need not subject yourself.
If you spit in the wind, and it hits you in the face, can you complain about it ? NO !! Because you are the one who spit in the damn wind, just like you are choosing to continue playing a game that you don't like.
I'm sorry, but this games beta is better than Bf2's beta. And 2142's for that matter.
The only thing missing, is higher player count, which I could see being an issue with all the destruction as it gets pretty damn crazy already with just 32.
Prone, as discussed, simply doesn't fit in the game. It's not nesscecary, it's only good for sitting in one spot and shooting, which you can do with crouch anyway !Comment

Connection issues: Yes, there are some. In the beta. But I have played released games with worse connection issues. Recently, I haven't been disconnected from the beta at all.Originally posted by Rambo
small maps: There is a 32 player cap, so yes the maps won't be as big as 64 BF2 maps. But the most popular BF2 maps are the smaller ones anyways. No one likes running half a mile to get shot in the face and do it all over again.
Stupid perks: How? I feel they are quite well balanced and have good synergy with different styles of play.
nerfed weapons: They kill faster than they did in BF2... if you want realistic damage, go play hardcore mode. But, don't complain the sniper is overpowered, because in real life...they are.
no prone: Keep your dolphin diving, it's the reason why I quit BF2, it's lame and ruins the experience. You can do perfectly fine in this game without prone.
Gimics: Drawing at straws much?
Too fast play: Go play counterstrike/ unreal tournament, then come back to me saying this game plays too quickly.
I can understand if this game just doesn't fit with you, but before we even saw game play you have been setting yourself to hate this game. It's called a self-fulfilling prophecy.Comment

Juno i only complain because us PC guys have waited 5 years in hope,7 years is just too long and i dont know any other company to do this.It really is like EA hate PC guys after we made the title popular to make us wait so long.
I know beta is free and i dont regret downloading it but i want the next BF full game.
On a plus note then i hope they keep bullet drop,the sound and destruction:wee:

I found BC2 fun for a few hours but it just felt a little dry. Maybe is the bad map design in the beta or just the gameplay overall. Its by no means a bad game, however I really do not think it captured the ethos of the battlefield games at all, a linear push map with so little flanking potential is pretty fail, assets promote camping and suicide tactics to be most effective.
For the love of god though, why do the weapons look so fugly? why are they so close to the camera and not angled at all, maybe its temp textures in the beta but they look horrible.
I still cant put my finger on it exactly why I dont enjoy it as much as I should, but its just not anything new or creative.Comment

I don't think it's fair to judge the game based on the beta, being that it only has one map, and only one of the game modes with only a handful of weapons and unlocks available.
but if you want to, feel free.
If you want to play "let's look into a crystal ball" to find something to complain about it's probably going to be the DLC maps that are released which you'll have to pay for, and if you don't I would suspect you'll get the boot from servers that have them in rotation - which will probably be all of them. I also suspect there will be in-game advertising in the final version, how annoying that'll be is still unknown.Comment
