Well i really did try and i gave this game plenty of chances but im out!

This game just plain sucks,Ive been playing since 2002 and this BF title is just a insult to a BF vet!:R

Its a token EA gesture to those PC guys who have been waiting so long(5 years),A console port designed to keep 13 year olds happy IMO,Im not going to say BC guys are slow or thick but cmon guys lift your standards!

Its not only the connection issues,small maps,stupid perks,nurfed weapons,no prone,Gimics,too fast play but the whole COD style design i dont like.

Plenty will be happy that i wont be posting in this section of the forum again and i was going to shut my mouth but im a passionate BF vet player and will have my say that "BF is going down hill"!,My only hope is BF3 does not follow this trend.I have told EA what i think of the game.I will speak my mind and be vocal about the BF game i loved and im sorry you guys have to listen to me for this last time being negative about this game.

If i wanted a COD game i would have went with Activision

Guess i will be waiting a total of 7 years now for BF3,I really hope its not a port and doesnt have stupid features.I complained and fought hard to try bring a BF2 beating game to all of us(IMO this does not even come close)

I know TGN have to be Pro battlefiled in whatever they make but some of you elder players are you really happy?

Yes. Sure there are things I would change if I could, but I am still happy.

The only thing I am unhappy about BFBC2 and beta so far is that I don't have time to play it.

Have to work 12 hours a day in order to get anywhere.

This is in no way a whine at all the members here and all you friends i have made,I still and always will repect all TBF members input and knowledge.Its just a personal thing with this game only

Im kinda glad no one has to hear me complain anymore about it.I will still be around and i like it here in TBF/TGN

It's not the same as BF2/2142 certainly and I'm still holding out for BF3. I think you're setting your standards too high for this game. It's a sequel to BC1, so if you look at it that way it's not really a disappointment to the BF franchise. It's perfectly fine if you don't like the game, but I wouldn't say it's a disappointment.

All in all, I'm enjoying the game and will buy it even if it isn't exactly what I would have wanted it to be.

For some people that standard seems to be "Exactly like BF2", preferrably with the same maps.
I predict that BF3 will be a disappointment too.

It's like what happened to Bob Dylan. Everyone loved him for his first style of playing that made him famous. As soon as he went "electric" he got booed off stages because people didn't want to hear a creative Bob Dylan who was moving forward musically. They wanted to hear the same things they heard on the record they had.

You have a vaild point there Jake,im sure its far superior to BC1 ,no arguement there mate!.Its PCs first taste at BC and i dont really want less than BF2.I know it could be seen as greedy or ungreatfull too but its just the way i feel right now.Thanks for not flaming me champ! lol

I think you had some misconceptions when you decided to play the game tbh

Bad Company is, like you said not like the other battlefield games we have played and is not meant to be

that said I hope to god Battlefield 3 isn't the same as battlefield 2

I'm thoroughly enjoying BC2 tbh, I take it for what it is, and I've played every Battlefield game ever released (and Codename Eagle before that!)

I go back to the beginning as far as vets are concerned and I really like the game. I go back to the beginning of CoD as well and this game does not feel like CoD. Yes, some of the codish features are there and I think they should be. People want more out of a game and EA/DICE cannot ignore the popularity that those games have had. I would have never left the Battlefield series if some of the major bugs and lack of AA weapons were addressed, but they weren't. 2142 wasnt as popular and when CoD came out, so many left it.

Good luck Rambo. I think Vreki is right, if you are wanting BF2, you better stick with it as BF3 is going to be very different. The die hard cod fans hated CoD4 because it was so different.

It's a nice change of pace from the prone/nade spam festival that BF2 morphed into as well as the exploit orgy of 2142.

I don't think we should have such high expectations for BF3.Developers today make their money in consoles which is all about standardization.There is no "The game doesn't work with my custom built rig" with a console title.It's PS3 or XBox and have a nice day.

<--- See my join date? It's not a fluke, I joined on TotalBF2.com because I was all about Battlefield 2, being a huge fan of BF1942 all those years earlier.

And I will say this ... BC2, to me, absolutely rocks. I feel it has followed the Battlefield path decently. I don't see these "Small Maps", yeah, in Rush it's small because you only take one area at a time, but if it was Conquest, I think that's one big map. Not as wide as I would like, but a very long map.

So to me, it's completely different. I think I'll be playing BC2 when BF3 comes out, and indeed, I hope BF3 is even better.

I love this new game, as well.

All I can say to you, Rambo, is that in the short time that I have been perusing these forums I have yet to see you make any kind of positive statement about this game. I would further caution you that if you get your hopes so far up for BF3 there is NO WAY that it will live up to your expectations. I doubt, frankly, that it will live up to any one's expectations as our expectations are being heightened with each passing year that the game remains unreleased. It wouldn't be the first time that a hotly anticipated title has failed to measure up, DOOM3, Quake4, MW2 and for me CoD2 after the impressive United Offensive.

A friend(he formerly worked for EA in Canada) once wrote that he thought, and it makes sense, that BF3 would not be released until the release of the next generation of consoles so as to maximize their assumed greater potential and it would likely make for a giant launch title, as well. In any case, it could be a fair while longer before we see it and by the time we do we'll literally be slobbering in abject hunger for a taste of it. We can only expect to be left a little peckish, I'm sure.
