I know a guy who works for KAOS. Gamed with him back in Battlefield 2. I thought F:FoW had huge potential since the Friend & Family Beta ... I guess it just never took off.

The trailer doesn't look half bad at all. I'll definitely try it out when it comes out.

When they'll make a game based on gulf war I'll buy it. DC is pretty much dead nowadays.

FFOW was decent... controls felt a bit clumsy and online performance was crap. I think they can get their act together. :)

I remember hearing about this is July and i wont hold my breath for anything kaos studios produces after front lines, i was one of the biggest supporters of frontlines just because it was being produced by kaos and got a real rude awakening when i actually played it and realized how koas completely abandoned the PC gamers.........i can promise you one thing......it will be a console port no matter what it is.

I loved frontlines. Being a console guy, it was my first real big multiplayer game. 50 players on xbox live. Great times. I know this year at E3 they are going to show HomeFront off and I can get links for proof if you guys want. Kaos studios is also going to be at GDC 10 this march. Not sure if they are going to show off HomeFront though. I have much respect for those guys, desert combat mod was something beyond this world. Frontlines had its problems BUT Im happy they are giving this another shot with HomeFront.

They're going with Games for Windows LIVE, that'll pretty much kill the game right then and there for most PC gamers - Steamworks with dedicated servers would have been better.

The Unreal Engine is just off putting when it comes to how the player moves and the vehicles handle, almost all games that use UE come off like a mod for Unreal Tournament III, you really have to rip it down to just the rendering code and build the rest up from scratch, such as what DICE did with Mirror's Edge.

This seems oddly unrelated to BFBC2. Please remove this topic from this forum.

                        LOL Shadow!

KAOS had their product raced too soon out the door. They don't have to be dead to you, but be more careful and wait for demos/betas or people commenting in the forums

The game had the right idea and some great stuff, but it wasnt ready. With the patches theyve released now, I understand its a really good game. The problem was it was so bad that just about everyone dumped it.

Yeah I wish they'd just make another Desert Combat type of game. It was too much fun! My team played that thing almost nightly for a year straight!

FFOW plays much better now and has tons more content, but it was already too late. COD4 completely KO'ed FFOW. If they had released the current version of FFOW as version 1.0, it might have been a different story. It's sad - it was a wasted opportunity during a long drought of BF games on the PC. I expect that KAOS they learned from their mistakes.

not everyone abandoned it....there's still 47 players and 5 whole servers...............but yes, you are correct, it was totally rushed....released with no dedicated server support and no joystick support......that was enough of a heartbreaker right there and it still took them a month to add them.
