Buy or Boycott?,that is the question

At first it seemed ok to me but i have some issues with the game now

-too much gimic stuff eg.UAV,sonar ect ect
-rego is real bad(worse than BF2) taking whole clips to down someone
-no prone (well i knew it was a issue for me to start)
-Port?some are noticing now it was just made for the consoles
-not many maps(8) and game modes no one wants
-hardcore mode?lol what a joke
-ironsights bad and scope and red dots even worse?
-maps seem small to me
-game feels like its MW2 and made by activision
-lastly a HUGE connection issue(drop outs or EA accounts)that i am currently fighting EA with atm

I dont see this as being a finished product by the shipping date
many are not happy not just me(just go to EAuk forums)

this is not a flame post!many like the game and i respect that but currently im leaning towards,no thanks Dice i will pass

No it feels more like COD,i brought WOW cod when it came out.wasnt overly impressed but played it a bit.this feels like a Activision game so so much and not a BF game

COD fans would love this game though?

I understand your sentiment about this game not feeling like a real BF game.

I look at this game as an in between, its not like BF2 but it not like MW2 either its in the middle somewhere.

Personally I like it. The destructible environment adds a totally new dynamic to an FPS that no online game has done. This along will add tremendous reply value for me.

If you dont like then dont buy it. But dont call it a "boycott", that term is getting really overused.
To be honest I dont think any of your points are valid except those relating to the bugs. But you complain about enough core features that I think you should just avoid the game.
However, I think many if you will be in for a nasty surprise when BF3 is released. The BF series has evolved, like it or not.

The game is awesome, and it's more fun if you play with friends or a clan rather then a bunch of loneworlf pubbies. I'm still enjoying it each round feels unique.

I'm just going to throw the word BETA into the discussion.

You are talking about boycotting a game 3 and a half weeks before it is released. So far we know hardly anything about the game. We have gotten to test out how stable the engine is on PC so that Dice can fix those issues before. BETA != Demo!

So far we have seen 1(2) map, 1 gamemode and an early version of the menus. We have no idea btw how many maps there will be, we only have 8 confirmed, again it is 3 and a half week left until release, do you think they would announce every aspect of the game already?

With this being a beta, the bugs in the game are almost suppose to be there. I don't think I have ever touched a beta version of a product that doesn't have issues.

I love how you say that "maps seem small", what maps are you talking about, the 2 we have seen yet (PC and console). Or have you tried some maps we havn't? I havn't tested the map for the console yet so I don't know if that was as narrow. Maybe it is just the gamemode? It would make sense to make it narrow to create chokepoints in this gamemode.

Again, BETA.

Sorry if I am a bit of an *** here but I don't like that people talk about this game like they did with MW2. So far DICE has been honest with us, they have given us pretty much all we want, exept for the mod and map tools. With this being the first time the frostbite engine operates on the PC that is a solid reason why they are not included.
If you do not want to buy the game, thats fine, we all have our taste. Comparing this to how IW screwed the PC community over 2 weeks before release it just wrong.

Lol? I'm afraid I can't take the rest of your post seriously but do what you want man. If you don't like it then don't get it. (:

I like the game tho, the team play is there which is what I think BF is about. It has vehicles and infantry battles, and when you cooperate over mumble/ts/vent with multiple squads and maybe someone using the UAV to provide support for teh squads; it's plenty fun. Conquest should be even more fun, since rush is lacking certain amount of sandbox style of play due to teh nature of the game mode.

oh and I love playing with the UAV. I always try to spot those enemies who are near friendlies so they can see them through walls.
