Ok, so the game has one of the worst bugs I've ever seen in my life. It was present in ps3 BETA, I was hoping for a quick fix, but somehow it has made its way to the PC version so I take it like nobody cares.
^^
EDIT: NOT TRUE. DECALS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS. It's a lag reducing feature which doesn't affect gameplay so it's a good thing . Nevertheless I still feel like some of the shots are lost when firing fullauto.
Btw. Hello, I've been around since 2006, but for some reason never been able to register properly on this website. However I am a regular forum reader, I know all of you guys :P
Here's the point. People have been complaining about assault rifles being too weak, but that's actually not the case. It seems that all automatic infantry weapons (vehicle mg's might be affected too, not sure) have a some sort of glitch that they basically skip every second round when firing full auto. So basically a weapon with 30 rounds in its magazine and 900 rpm rate of fire only has 15 bullets and the actual rate of fire is 450 rpm. Firing in bursts can make things even worse, because you think you're firing a 3-round burst, it takes 3 rounds off your magazine, but in fact only 1 bullet leaves the barrel. You can get around this by using single-shots, but of course firing fully automatic assault rifles like this: "click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click" gets frustrating.
If you don't believe me, you can try it for yourself.
1. Find a smooth wall.
2. Spray it with 10 rounds. The easiest way to do it is to have 10 rounds left in the magazine.
3. There will never be more than 5 bullet holes.
