It's just as unbalanced you'd think it would be... smgs are just as good as assult rifles at a distance and that kind of stuff

Well, guess I'll be sticking to the normal non-HC servers, then. :thumbsup: A shame they couldn't find a middle ground and remove the HUD, crosshairs, and spotting but leave the damage the same. But I guess you can't please everyone.

Smoke grenades might be useful if there's a lot of snipers about although the smoke grenades always seem to be rubbish in Battlefield games.

Are there any vehicles at all?

hmmm i must be in different servers. the hypernia HC servers don't have many snipers at all.

oh and SMG's are not as effective as assault rifles at range. i tested. it takes a few hits to drop a guy with an smg versus 2 or 3 from an assault rifle.

and the damage being so rediculous in non-HC, I'm glad they upped in in HC mode because if you just turned off sights and hud and left the baby-damage - then it wouldn't be hardcore, it would be annoying.

They messed up hardcore just like COD did sniping is too easy. On top of that the enemy AA has no crosshair in the first seat forcing you to play in 3rd person mode... Hardcore will be synonymous for noob mode once more...

A few hits with the SMG vs. 3 with an assault rifle? So...how many is a 'few' exactly, because I was under the impression that 'few' generally meant 'around 3'.

hopefully it will attract all the annoying people and keep the normal settings servers fun

That makes no sense, how is a mode with no cross hair and very little GUI, and it's easier to die, a mode that newer users will flock too. Especially for the vehicles that have no GUI at all, like the Russian APC, you basicly have to use the grenade launcher and adjust your fire based on where you fired previously, and shooting on the move, will take real skill, and a lot of guess work.

First lets remember that this is a BETA, once again BETA, who knows what will happen with all parts of the game, never mind this mode that we just got access too. Think about it, they only finally fixed the JSF vs J-10 issue in 1.5, like 4 years after release. Even if you don't like it, give it time, and if you still hate it, don't' think that other people aren't going to like it. Variety dosen't mean making everyone happy with everything, it means people can pick and choose what they like personally.

The one thing I hate about how gamers express their opinions, is that what they think is fact for everyone else. it's YOUR opinion, that is all, state it as such, or go back to school.
