No, they can use any of the non-class specific guns (shotguns at first, but more rifle like guns later)



Rank is important is unlocking general unlocks (pistols, some feats, shotguns/other weapons) All the class/vehicle specific unlocks are done through points generated while using that class or a vehicle. So conceivably you can be max rank and not have all the unlocks.

so for example, how would i unlock the m16a2? use the assault kit constanly? or unlock with a unlock point like 2142?

Basically it is points-per-class based for class specific items, and rank based for common items.

Correct! I dont know why, but I really like the idea of unlocking everything for one specific kit but still be able to rank up and unlock general purpose stuff.

I like it too, its a great idea. I personally like the ability to mix and match shotguns (and later other rifles) with different classes.

How'd you take a screenshot? I tried using PRINTSCREEN, but nothing. I had a 5.0 K/D one game (45/9 or something around that). I even tried pasting it into paint but it would always end up being a blank white window.

There is no keybind for it in the controls, so I think you will have to use a thirdparty program like FRAPS

You can use the Thompson with any kit, which is good because if you don't like the LMG's and want to play medic you have an alternative.

You unlock new weapons based on the kit you're using. It gets more difficult as you unlock each perk or weapon. I'm not sure what rank plays in this. When I played the PS3 beta I unlocked two classed completely and I never unlocked much in the remaining classes because I didn't use them much so I don't think rank plays a role. I reach rank 34 if I remember correctly.
