Looks to me like there are more ranks, they are just a tiny bit more diffcult to reach.

Getting 100.000.000 points would take years, and we only have a month. I hope DICE unlocks the next rank. I'm gonna go back and play the game. My favorite thing in the game is the sound, this is the best seround experience from a video game ever.

How about the unlocks? Don´t they work independently of rank?

Unlocks have their own point system, and the points are class specific, aside from the common unlocks like specializations pistols shotguns and the Thompson.

No, they can use any of the non-class specific guns (shotguns at first, but more rifle like guns later)

Rank is important is unlocking general unlocks (pistols, some feats, shotguns/other weapons) All the class/vehicle specific unlocks are done through points generated while using that class or a vehicle. So conceivably you can be max rank and not have all the unlocks.

Demos are often different, since they are meant to entice you to buy the full game. So you play to the end of the demo and can then carry on if you fork over some cash, instead of beginning from scratch again.
