I didn't play much last night due to crashes and lag. They seem to have sorted out the lag.

A lot of the times when it took too many bullets to kill last night, it must have been lag. I played this morning with 16ms ping and killed three people with one SCAR mag. I was pretty close to them, though.

Guns are pretty much perfect in my opinion.

Noob Tube is alright in a skilled players hands, everything is balance pretty nicely I'm actually surprised. At first I thought it takes to many bullets to kill, but now that I got a hang of it, I think it's ok.

I agree with these statements. Maybe it's too much time spent in BF2/BF2142 and getting jaded by horrible reg, but the guns feel nice in this game. I get the sense of whatever I shoot at will get hit and with enough hits they will go down. I didn't play but for a few hours, but I never got the sense of 'wth I should have killed that guy!' that I got at least five times per round in BF2. So far I really like the infantry weapons.

As for the AV weapons, I don't have a problem with them doing too little damage. A tank has never taken me more than 2 hits to bring down (although they could have been damaged prior, but as engie you can see the tank health) so 2-3 hits isn't any worse than BF2. Haven't tried taking out a chopper with it yet, though.

I agree that the guns are sufficiently accurate. I just think that I shouldn't have to use more than 5 bullets to kill someone.

Perhaps COD4 hardcore mode spoiled me. I love that mode.

They seem to do ok damage when you have low enough ping. But I voted for "a bit more powerful"

Agreed, balance is good as it is, even is stuff feels underpowered, just use the 1911

I'm starting to wonder if some of the problem is the intense lag.

But still - the base engineer gun doesn't drop anyone in time for them to go hide and regen their health.

thank god for hardcore mode. i think i'll just stop playin until march 2

I've played a few rounds today and hardly ran into any lag issues. I'm also glad they fixed the WindowsXP crash at the end of a round bug because that seriously hampered my game time. So far I have no problem with any guns. I love the engineer gun for its silencer. Its pretty good for close to medium range. If you use it for long distance shots then the problem is you, not the gun.
