not just while sniping, but trying to hide from being seen by tanks.
it's going to take a while getting used to no prone in a BF game.
tbh, i don't think having prone would've unbalanced things that much... well at least on the PC.

I was saying the same thing to myself. Now when I see a tank I run like hell if I'm not engineer. Hell, even when I'm a sniper and have c4 its still hard to approach a tank. At least prone gave you some hope of not being seen.

The easiest way to stop dolphin diving is not to take out prone, but to only allow prone if your feet are on the floor.

For Christ's sake it's not hard and COD4 managed it perfectly. Hell they even made it so your first jump was high, your second less so, and a third was hardly anything. They not only shot dolphin diving in the face but trampled on bunny hopping too.

FeetCOLDistance = Distance from a COL (created at the bottom of the foot) to the ground, lowest value of the 2 overwrites the other.

Dolphin diving was only an issue because of hit registration, the collision boxes get all wonky on BF2, Insta prone is not an issue and its actually detrimental to you on 2142.
