Im really enjoying it aswell! The game has a much bigger feel to it and each environment feels unique to some degree. So far the storyline has been a bit of a let down for me and have just got my second bunch of recruitment lists so hope it opens up a bit further.

Question:

How far into the main storyline (in terms of %) is the stage where i recruit my second half of the team such as the Assassin etc

Recruiting counts for about 90% of the game, so its pretty much all you do.

It is hard to say, you can recruit anytime you want as long as you havn't entered the Omega 4 Relay. Assassin is one of the last few guys so I would believe it is somewhere around 60-90%. In between there you should be able to recruit him. As soon as you enter the Omega 4 Relay you will not be able to recruit any more.

I believe the story isn't as good just because it is the middle game in the trilogy.

I wish the Citadel was larger as in ME1, and to lengthen the game play time best thing is to do side quests, i haven't seen much.

Ive done one run through in 18 hours recruiting everyone and doing all their 'side' missions, Upgraded as much as possible, Went and did the final bit, Shocked at what happened.

Now im going to use a mass effect 1 save.

Anybody else finished it and wonder how the 3rd is going to play out?

ok well i have 2 more people to recruit and will finish all the loyalty missions and sides before i upgrade everything and head through omega 4

finished the game, 35 hours, i wish it were longer lol i told one of my friends that ME3 should be blu ray in length lmfao. But my final comment about the game is that it is amazing and the best game i had played in years.

I could play over 60 hours, investigating every system and planet (but not scanning all), doing all side missions and character dialogues. The endmission couldn't have been done any better.

i scanned all the planets and did all missions at least they left the option of continuing to play after you are done lol they should have done that with the first game!

Yep completed it myself and really enjoyed the game, i too did it in about 35 hours and i am now playing through it again on Insane difficulty and it is quite hard :/
