Currently I only seem to be playing a few rounds each week, except from Spec Ops. And to be honest I dont see much replay value in that either. I wouldnt be surprised if we soon decide to go back to WaW for COOP.
Usually you stick around to try to influence others and hopefully the developers to change the game for the better.

This is the same idea of debating politics, or debating anything else for that matter. Don't like your government? Then you should move to another country, right?

My problem with MW2 is that it's too competitive when it CLEARLY should not be. A competitive game is balanced. MW2 is not. Try playing a game like TF2, where honestly no one CARES who wins or loses, because there's so many ways you can win/lose and there is no recorded win/loss statistic. If you notice, the only rage in a game like TF2 would be anything that is considered 'cheap'. Well, in MW2, everything is considered cheap thanks to it's very nature of the killstreaks/perks/deathstreaks/attachments.

I have to say, you have a very good point.
TF2 doesn't take itself seriously which works well.
But MW2 is a Sheep in wolfs clothing, wants to be a competitive game...but isn't.

Actually I don't think MW2 tries to be a competitive game, it's just half the people who play it are so f*****g srs bsns that all they can do is taunt saying "YEA OWNED, EASY".

Re: Are we still on the "Like it or GTFO" policy?

The cheating in this game is out of control. Those of you who claim to have never seen it most likely simply do not know what to look for. Most of the cheaters aren't as obvious as the ones the OP referred to, although I have ran across more blatant cheaters such as that in this game than any other online game I've played. I personally hate cheaters and think they should all be perma-banned for life, however I recently had the chance to see some of the cheats first-hand. I thought I knew how to spot cheaters easily, til my friend gave me a demonstration of just a few of the cheats out there. First off most of the cheats can be tailored to be more or less subtle. The old days of simply grabbing a LMG and spraying 1-hit kill shots are gone. These old, easily detectable aimbots are replaced by much more sophisticated cheats. In one such cheat a green "Hit Box" comes up telling the cheater when to fire. This is a huge advantage in a game such as MW2 where there is so much vegatation and camo/hiding plays so much of am importance to the game. Another cheat places green marks either on the map or in wire framed images of the cheaters opponent giving away their hiding place. Both of these cheats are very hard to detect by simply watching a kill-cam. Another cheat automatically knifes an enemy for an automatic and easy kill whenever they get in range. There are many other cheats, but you get the idea.

Now that I have seen these cheats in action, the game is pretty much ruined for me. The sad part is is that the really skilled players are the ones who lose the most. I've seen quite a number of players doing well in games that get accused of cheating. Knowing what I know and have seen first-hand of cheating, when I look at their kill-cams and see no obvious signs of cheating, but are simply good players, that is the player that has truly been robbed by these cheating punks. It is pathetic that nothing is being done to stop this.

I believe what you are talking about mostly is chams (basically wall hacks in a way). I don't play the game anymore but I can never say I had a problem with cheaters in MW2, me and my clan mates are generally very good so it either takes another clan/group of people playin against us for us not to win, or something a bit dodgy, and we never really got overly suspicious all the time. Like I said many many many many times, the problems with hacking aren't as wide spread in Europe/UK and I believe Australia doesn't have that much problem with it (judging by some users here), it seems to be mosty happening in the US.

Then again what do you expect when VAC is the anti-cheat system in a game where there are no admins/servers, it's a hackers dream, at least CS:S and such had servers/admins to kick people.

Im at lv50ish after getting the game on release day, I Have honestly only seen 1 person I am sure was hacking, really was not that hard to leave and join another game.

The whole problem is the game is catered to idiots, people who think having 'BUZZKILL' etc all over there screen is a good thing. I honestly tried to like this game, but it just feels like the game that would come before CoD4. Its just honestly a boring game.

Hence why I play HC, that crap on my screen is more annoying than rewarding!

And I haven't seen a SINGLE hacker on my end... So it's probs regional.

Just because you haven't "seen" a hacker does not mean they are not there. Like I said, I have extensive FPS gaming experience, and thought I knew exactly how to spot hackers. I was wrong. Now that I have been educated on the subject, I can spot punks who I think are hacking in about 25% of the games I play. Could I be wrong? Yes. Do I have proof? No.Hacking only occurs in some regions? Come on, pull your head out of the sand. But for a big name release such as this to leave itself so wide open for exploits is simply not acceptable.

That being said, the rest of the game is pretty much rubbish. Like Tim270 stated, and I agree with completely, the game feels like it was released prior to COD4. I mean did the franchise really need a release featuring more noob tubes than ever before, hit-boxes the size of trucks, and silly streaks and call signs? I can't be alone in wanting a CoD4 sequel that featured solid physics, realistic bullet dynamics, realistic terrain, realistic weapon load outs, and tight, balanced maps, can I? I'm sorry, but MW2 is just a cheap sequel that tries to hide it's weaknesses with crappy bling and easy gameplay.

Good thing you said that here and not in the Battlefield forums. I said BC2 was still a console port and was almost stoned to death.

Not that a console port is a bad thing. Batman:AS was awesome.

I was talking about sticking around in the game, not the forum. But logically one should lead to another.

I don't think debating on forum has ever changed anything, especially when said forum is not in any way related to the developers of the game. If you want that you should go to the official forums. On TGN you are just exchangin opnions with likeminded nerds.
And then we are back to the question, what is the point in hanging around to debate a game that you dont care to play. Maybe make a few parting shots, but then its time to move on to something interesting.

As for the government analogy, I influence my government in two ways. By voting, and by taking part in surveys. Not random Internet surveys mind you, but those done buy reputable companies like Gallup.

Ofcourse not. MW2 was always made for the PC, thats why we got all these cool extras that noob consolers don't get, like mouse support and editable graphics settings!!!!!!! Oh and almost forgot the best of all, IWNET!
