Stutter every minute or so?

So when I play I get this micro-stutter and it freezes for about half a second, I have the settings at all low and am running at 1280*720 with about 35-50 fps depending where I'm standing or what is happening. All my drivers are up to date and am running the latest patch.

Dust collection?

I used to get this on my laptop until I cleaned the graphics card, fans and other areas.

I've already done that, I usually give it a quick blow (that's what she said) of compressed air every week or so.

Hmm, do you defrag regularly? - if not give it a try. Only other things i can think of are the obvious background tasks, when did this start happening? does it happen in local/single play?

mine does it now and then, I notice it when the HD led starts flicking like crazy. Maybe delete your cache folder, defrag, make space on your HD. Assuming it's not network lag.

I think it's in my documents;.. just google 'delete bf2 cache' you'll find it real easy

Well so far defragging and deleting the cache has seemed to help and it isn't very noticeable (happens once every round) but thanks for the help guys

Check firewall and antivirus. I had similar issues with Zonealarm and a particular release of Avast.

It may have been punkbuster trying to update. use the manual updater pbsetup.
