dude i tried out some gun that had a thermal on it (in the game) and damn i should have looked at that before, in some spots it seems super useful
Yeah some maps it is quite useful , I often get people calling me a "thermal" noob for using it. So many QQ'ers in MW2 I swear every weapon is a "noobs choice" in some peoples eyes.

i actually do not see thermal sights being used very often at all. its kind of a neat find when you pick it up off the ground.
now...with a thermal sight, say if it was on an assault rifle, does it change how quickly you bring your sights up? Does it change to the speed mimicking sniper scoping?

If I remember correctly it works just as a sniper scope, I think it even adds the hold breath on the AR's
I think the thermal sights are annoying to use. At least I felt that way in SP. SP is all I played since I don't have the game, and I don't really care about MP, not after they handicapped it.
oh that aint as bad. though when using the acog i always feel like i am using a big googly manifying lense and it kind of limits your important peripheral views a bit more
Trust me, it doesn't I have used it before. Probably the worst attachment for AR's.

ACR + ACOG works well, however I find thermal is only useful on sniper rifles.
maybe thermal on a sniper rifle was what i tried. i'm pretty sure i got to hold breath on a thermal scope gun i picked up from the ground. maybe it's a steady aim pro thing?
