Which is the better PC publisher?

So which of these two publishers do you think has a greater selection of games for the PC and is more interested in the platform? EA or Activision?

EA. They manage to piss off the community so much and still sell more games than any other publisher. Thats admirable.

EA, if only to avoid Emperor Kotick.

                Gotta go with EA.

The Activision logo still reminds me of the Atari days.

Neither. Except that now Activision has joined the ranks of "assholes of the videogame industry". Together with EA, Ubisoft and CRAPCOM they now dance on formerly fantastic franchises which are now dead.

                      This!

Their appetite for destroying franchises know no bounds. The goliath machines continue to crank out poorer shells of the same games over and over until the community cries allowing the publishers dogs to lap up our tears.

OK, maybe not that bad, but its bad.

Re: Which is the better PC publisher?

I'm not sure Activision would have gotten such a bad voting turn out, had this poll been done before MW2.

I mean the CoD series up until MW2, has been quite good, and they've done, Quake, Guitar Hero, Pitfall, Spiderman, Star Trek, some star wars, Tony Hawk, True Crimes, Xmen, Wolfenstein, and I'm sure other popular games that I'm missing.

I voted EA, because I like more games by them, but Activision isn't all that bad. And I also agree that there are more (better) publishers out there than the latter, but they don't get the recognition because they don't have blockbuster title games.

EA have been improving lately imo, but more time is needed to tell if they really are going to abandon their ******* tendencies totally, all companies will keep some form of milking (EA would be mad to stop milking the Sims etc) but at least they seem to have stopped a lot of the faggotry with other games

Activision I am afraid seem to be going straight to the definition of twats, you only have to look as far as Mr Kotick and how out of touch they are with PC players to see the fail

I'll say EA only because they published BF2.

Yeah, but at times popular and good are not always synonymous with one another. I never have been a fan of Call of Duty. I do enjoy quake but I still haven't played much of any of the quake games. Quake Wars seems to be the MW2 of the Quake series in some Quake fans opinions. I haven't really played any of the Wolfenstein games (with the exception of the original Wolfenstein 3d). Xmen Legends wasn't bad....but I honestly don't remember any other Xmen titles that don't strike me as bad attempts to capitalize on the success of the Xmen series....same with Spiderman. And well I don't have anything to say about Guitar Hero...as frustrating as I find that game it is fun.

Not sure about Star Trek, but I think the rest of the games you named are mostly console games, out of which I only remember playing maybe 2 or 3 of the Tony Hawks (all of which were fun but the gameplay got old and tedious, new levels, same gameplay, same $50 price tag on release). True Crimes was a GTA ripoff if I recall.

I really wonder how much freedom the developers have with both EA and Activision. EA may be laying down the law on its devs and forcing them to release some decent material for a change. Really makes ya wonder.....
